I have been using JFBC for years and I've never seen this before. Got this email overnight:

In working to create a great Platform experience for everyone, we ask developers to ensure the apps they build comply with our Platform Policies. Your app KAA - Login/Register (AppId: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX) doesn't comply with the following:

Platform Policy 8.3: Use a clearly branded "Login with Facebook" button and follow the Facebook Brand Guidelines: www.facebookbrand.com/.

Your Login button doesn't properly reference Facebook. To fix this issue, you should always use our official SDK for Login. For more information on Login best practices, check out the Login section of our developer documents: developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-lo...actices#buttondesign

I did just update the version today. I don't know if that will "fix" this although it did change the style of he button.

Thanks in advance!

Yup, the new update should fix this. We released a version with updated buttons and other improvements in late January or early February as a small minority of users were starting to get the warning you received above. We haven't heard of any users getting that warning if they're on the latest version though.

Social networks will keep you on your toes :)

Thanks,
Alex

I got an email yesterday from FB. The relevant bit is this:

Platform Policy 8.3: Use a clearly branded "Login with Facebook" button and follow the Facebook Brand Guidelines: www.facebookbrand.com/.

Your Login button doesn't properly reference Facebook. To fix this issue, you should always use our official SDK for Login. For more information on Login best practices, check out the Login section of our developer documents: developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-lo...actices#buttondesign.

Since we're striving to improve the Platform experience, your app's ability to do the following has been restricted.

It seems to be working, but shouldn't it be compliant?

The new button definitely should be. We've read (and re-read) the branding documents quite a bit to make sure our new button complies. Additionally, we've heard from other users who apps were actually disabled (unsure if yours actually was) that were re-instated after updating JFBConnect and appealing to Facebook.

So.. you may have just received an automated follow up or something.. but it's not always possible to be sure what Facebook's moderators are thinking or doing.

Of course, if you hear more from them or run into any issues, just let us know!

Thanks,
Alex

My app did stop working.

However, the appeal after I updated, was accepted so I'm back in business......thanks!
