Hi,
I see that JReviews is specifically mentioned as an integration but I don't see where or how to integrate it in the configuration. JReviews clearly has it's own social network connections so I'm curious how this integration works and what the value add is over using jReviews' own connections. Appreciate you pointing me to the right documentation or explaining. Thanks.

Since JReviews bases their reviews off Joomla articles, the social integration we have for standard Joomla content generally works for JReviews, which means social buttons, open graph tags and other features work with review pages.

To enable Open Graph auto-tags, simply enable the Open Graph - JReviews plugin.

I hope that helps explain,
Alex

Thanks Alex. In JReviews configuration there are social media buttons to enable. See www.screencast.com/t/XdSf6bdzc
Would that be all there is to it? That and enabling the plugin you mention?

JFBConnect can autopost content when it's created to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn; it can help you manage your Open Graph and Twitter Card tags and it can add the social buttons. That's in addition to the other JFBConnect features, like authentication and profile import.

Yes, plenty of other extensions have some amount of social integration. The benefits of JFBConnect are a single, constant way of managing social networks on your site. You can choose to use JFBConnect solely, other extensions, or a combination to suite your needs.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks man. My question was about how to let Sourcecoast take the Driver's seat. Should I just ignore all of the jReviews options to enable social media buttons and JFBconnect will just appear on my listings and reviews in jReviews and other apps, or do I have to specify some configuration options in one or both components? I see no option in jReviews that says use JFBConnect, and no option JFBconnect to integrate with JReviews.

Jreviews has a few ways to be accessed. If the pages you're using JReviews on is Joomla content, then the JFBConnect - Content plugin should be able to add the social buttons in the post itself. If not, you can use the JFBCSocialShare module to add the social buttons to a defined position on the page or have them float at the bottom of every page, like we do on this site. Those are component-agnostic ways to add JFBConnect to any extension.

I hope that helps answer your question,
Alex
