Topic-icon Image link errors in com_jfbconnect&view=usermap

The facebook icons show ok but the others are broken links e.g.
www.mysite.org//media/sourcecoast/images/provider//icon.png
scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-1/p50x50/14...f93d288a&oe=58DEE086

Looks like the double backslashes cause the first one. Not sure about the second. Is this your template or something I can fix?

The first one with the double links looks like something wrong with JFBConnect. In between /provider/ and /icon.png there should be the name of the actual provider, like /provider/facebook/icon.png. Can you let us know what social network the user is connected with and we'll gladly help investigate that further.

For the Facebook pictures, unfortunately, they've been restricting profile data more recently. Previously, we were storing a link to the user's profile image and would show that. Now, Facebook provides a temporary link only which expires after some time. Because of that, the link stops working.

We could refresh the user link when you load the usermap page, but that adds a lot of overhead to fetch each image.. and may not be worth it. We're considering what to do, but the picture in that section may have to be removed.

I hope that helps explain and sorry for the inconvenience,
Alex

Hi Alex
Yes that makes sense. Looks like the other error occurs where the user isn't logged in with a social profile. Everything is blank but the line is created so these users have registered using an email address. See screenshot.
Hope that helps.

That picture is actually a bit strange. All users should have a Joomla account showing in the Usermap area. The whole point of the Usermap area is to show how a user's Joomla account is related to their social network accounts.

Can you verify that you have the JFBConnect authentication, system and user plugins enabled? I don't know why those rows would be created like the above, but it seems like there's a misconfiguration issue or some other problem occurring.

Thanks,
Alex
