JFBConnect can automatically post new articles to Facebook Pages or Groups, Twitter Streams or LinkedIn Company Pages. It's one of our core functionalities.
The general requirements for posting are:
* Create the social network application. That allows users to authenticate on your site and for your site to perform actions on those user's behalf, like posting to a Facebook Page
* Authenticate with a social network user on your Joomla site - This creates the Joomla account for the user, or will link to an existing Joomla account
* Once there is a link between a social network user and a Joomla user on your site, you can setup a 'Channel' for that user.
* The Channel is what JFBConnect uses to post to a Facebook Page (for example) on behalf of a specific user.
* While setting up the Channel, you may need to re-authenticate on the front-end of your site with the social network to grant additional permissions for the user. These permissions are used by the social network application to post on the user's behalf to the Page they own.
You mentioned a few times:
I also am trying to setup auto posting to a Facebook Page but this page is administered through a personal FB account.
All Facebook Pages are administered by personal Facebook accounts. It's not possible to login directly to a Facebook Page. You always login to your personal account who is the administrator of a Facebook Page.
To work with JFBConnect, that same Facebook user has to login to your Joomla site. Then, you'll be able to list the Pages that the user is an administrator of in the Channels area.
If you haven't already, I'd recommend looking over our
Creating a Social Channel
documentation.
I hope that helps answer your questions.
