Topic-icon Facebook doesn't recognise authorised domains

Hi,

I've set up the plug-in correctly and it seems able to communicate with the Facebook App Platform.
But when I try to log in via the Facebook Log-In button, in order to get an authorised account to continue the plug-in configuration, it keeps showing the unauthorised URL error.

What can I do ?

Thank you !

PS : Yes, I've already registered both the "www.site.ch" and the "site.ch" versions of the URL in the authorised domains field.

In addition to the "App Domains" field in the Settings -> Basic area of your app, also make sure you've set the Valid OAuth Redirect URIs setting in the Facebook Login -> Settings area.

If that doesn't help, can you tell us the exact error message you're getting when you try to login on the front end?

Thanks,
Alex

I understand that you have put every combination of domains in the App Domains section. Can you take a picture or let me know what URLs you've put in the Facebook Login -> Settings -> Valid OAuth Redirect URIs section?

The error message that Facebook shows in the login popup isn't always accurate in where it's indicating there is a problem, so knowing how you have different areas setup will help us understand what may be wrong.

Thanks,
Alex

They shouldn't be the same value. The OAuth Redirect URIs setting should have very specific paths set for each of your domains. Please check step 21 in our Facebook setup guide for specifics.

Let us know if that helps!

Thanks,
Alex

It doesn't sound like the authentication process completed properly then. Can you let me know:
* When you login with Facebook.. are you actually logged into your site? Do registered menus appear and such?
* Is a user created in the Joomla User Manager area?
* Is a user created in the JFBConnect -> Usermap area?

Any details you can provide will help.

I tried to go to your page, but wasn't able to find the Facebook login area. If you can tell us where that is, we can test for ourselves as well.

Thanks,
Alex

* When you login with Facebook.. are you actually logged into your site? Do registered menus appear and such?
YES
* Is a user created in the Joomla User Manager area?
IT'S an already existent user
* Is a user created in the JFBConnect -> Usermap area?
NO

Even if I can't see the user in the Usermap area, it's present in the channel owner list (screenshot), but it's not allowed to do something it seems.

That image in your last post is different than what you showed above. Previously, you weren't able to see any user in the Channel owner list.. now, it seems like you can select one.

Now that you can select a user in the channel, I see the red message underneath that "The selected user has not granted the manage_pages permission...". That's a normal warning message when you first setup a channel. The process is:
1) Login with Facebook on the front-end of your site, granting basic permissions for the user.
2) Setup the Channel. JFBConnect will mark the user as needing additional permissions to administer the channel
3) Login again on the front end of the site to grant those extra permissions.

Previously, you were stuck at #1. I'm unsure how you got through that now and created the account, but now it seems like you just have to do step #3.

I hope that helps,
Alex
