Worried that the image information added to article via Easy Tags may no longer be honored.

I just spent a huge amount of time re-writing the easy tags for all of our content and would hate to find out that the update sent me back to the drawing boards.

I wouldn't think this would be the case, but I saw a support topic where someone was having trouble with images being grabbed from the article rather than from the meta data.

The bug from that thread was introduced in 7.2.2 or 7.2.3 (don't remember which exactly) and specifically dealt with the Open Graph objects not being correctly matched for a given article that was being loaded. It was one line of code to fix that bug but shouldn't affect the easy-tags.

I also did make changes for how twitter:description and twitter:title were generated, as you pointed out in your other thread that they were duplicated. I ran those against our automated tests and added new test to check that duplicates aren't created.

From those two changes, I think you should be good to upgrade to 7.2.4. We always recommend backing up first, though, just in case.

OK, will go ahead and install.

Now all I need is a JCE-Editor plugin that provides a graphics interface for adding the Easy tags to the bottom of the article like:
<div id="jfbcSocialMediaButtons">
<div class="JFBC-Config">{JFBCLike href=https://www.911tap.org/557-news-releases/714-bobby-mcilvaine-world-trade-center-investigation-act layout=button_count show_faces=false share=true width=120 action=like colorscheme=dark ref=bobby-mcilvain-act kid_directed_site=false}</div>
<div class="JFBC-Config">{SCTwitterShare href=https://www.911tap.org/557-news-releases/714-bobby-mcilvaine-world-trade-center-investigation-act text=The Bobby McIlvaine World Trade Center Investigation Act will empanel a select committee data_count=horizontal via=911tap related=ae911truth,911Blogger,DC911truth hashtags=911truth,wtc7 size=medium dnt=false}</div>
<div class="JFBC-Config">{SCGooglePlusOne https://www.911tap.org/557-news-releases/714-bobby-mcilvaine-world-trade-center-investigation-act annotation=bubble size=standard align=left recommendations=true}</div>
{SCOpenGraph article:author=911tap}
{SCOpenGraph twitter:creator=911tap}
{SCOpenGraph twitter:image:alt=Bobby McIlvaine Act Poster Image}
{SCOpenGraph image=https://www.911tap.org/images/articles/2018/01/bobby-mcilvaine-act-fb-banner_91bf1.jpg}
{SCOpenGraph url=https://www.911tap.org/557-news-releases/714-bobby-mcilvaine-world-trade-center-investigation-act}
{SCOpenGraph title=Bobby McIlvaine World Trade Center Investigation Act}
{SCOpenGraph description=The Bobby McIlvaine World Trade Center Investigation Act is draft legislation to empanel a select committee in either chamber of Congress to investigate the destruction of the three World Trade Center towers on that day}
{SCOpenGraph type=article} {SCOpenGraph site_name=9/11 Truth Action Project}
{SCOpenGraph video=https://content.jwplatform.com/players/ENno7di6-A4cZR76S.html}
{SCOpenGraph audio=https://content.jwplatform.com/players/Zf88zyiO-A4cZR76S.html}
</div>
I would want it to provide text boxes with labels like

Open Graph site Name [9/11 Truth Action Project] - this would not be editable and could only be changed in plugin parameters

URL [www.911tap.org/557-news-releases/714-bob...er-investigation-act] - www.911tap.org is default that can be set in the plugin parameters

Article Title [Bobby McIlvaine World Trade Center Investigation Act] - 9/11 Truth Action Project would be default that could be set in plugin parameters

Open Graph Description [The Bobby McIlvaine World Trade Center Investigation Act is draft legislation to empanel a select committee in either chamber of Congress to investigate the destruction of the three World Trade Center towers on that day] - The mission of the 9/11 Truth Action Project is to build and mobilize a global grassroots movement that will expose the truths of 9/11, create a groundswell of civic support, and the restoration of our civil liberties… would be the default that would be set in the plugin parameters

Twitter Description [The Bobby McIlvaine World Trade Center Investigation Act will empanel a select committee] - The mission of the 9/11 Truth Action Project is to mobilize a global grassroots movement… would be the default that would be set in the plugin

Facebook Search Reference ref= [bobby-mcilvain-act] - 911-truth-action-project is default that can be set in the plugin parameters

Article Author [911tap] - 911tap is default that can be set in the plugin parameters

Twitter Creator [911tap] - 911tap is default that can be set in the plugin parameters

Open Graph Image URL [www.911tap.org/images/articles/2018/01/b...-fb-banner_91bf1.jpg] - www.911tap.org/images/socialmedia/open-g...s-roots-movement.jpg is default that would be set in plugin parameters

Twitter Image Alt Text [Bobby McIlvaine Act Poster Image] - Default would be 9/11 Truth Action Project Banner that can be set in the plugin parameters.

Open Graph Video [content.jwplatform.com/players/ENno7di6-A4cZR76S.html] - content.jwplatform.com/players/ENno7di6-A4cZR76S.html would be the default that would be set in the plugin parameters

Open Graph Audio [content.jwplatform.com/players/Zf88zyiO-A4cZR76S.html] - content.jwplatform.com/players/Zf88zyiO-A4cZR76S.html would be the default that would be set in the plugin parameters

Right now I use the JCE-Editor Template Manager to create a frame work for the articles which include the Easy Tags. The problem is that the Editor strips the line feeds between the tags and it come out looking like:
<div id="jfbcSocialMediaButtons">
<div class="JFBC-Config">{JFBCLike href=https://www.911tap.org/557-news-releases/714-bobby-mcilvaine-world-trade-center-investigation-act layout=button_count show_faces=false share=true width=120 action=like colorscheme=dark ref=BobbyMcIlvaine01 kid_directed_site=false}</div>
<div class="JFBC-Config">{SCTwitterShare href=https://www.911tap.org/557-news-releases/714-bobby-mcilvaine-world-trade-center-investigation-act text=The Bobby McIlvaine World Trade Center Investigation Act will empanel a select committee data_count=horizontal via=911tap related=ae911truth,911Blogger,DC911truth hashtags=911truth,wtc7 size=medium dnt=false}</div>
<div class="JFBC-Config">{SCGooglePlusOne https://www.911tap.org/557-news-releases/714-bobby-mcilvaine-world-trade-center-investigation-act annotation=bubble size=standard align=left recommendations=true}</div>
{SCOpenGraph article:author=911tap} {SCOpenGraph twitter:creator=911tap} {SCOpenGraph twitter:image:alt=text} {SCOpenGraph image=https://www.911tap.org/images/articles/2018/01/bobby-mcilvaine-act-fb-banner_91bf1.jpg} {SCOpenGraph url=https://www.911tap.org/557-news-releases/714-bobby-mcilvaine-world-trade-center-investigation-act} {SCOpenGraph title=Bobby McIlvaine World Trade Center Investigation Act} {SCOpenGraph description=The Bobby McIlvaine World Trade Center Investigation Act is draft legislation to empanel a select committee in either chamber of Congress to investigate the destruction of the three World Trade Center towers on that day} {SCOpenGraph type=article} {SCOpenGraph site_name=9/11 Truth Action Project} {SCOpenGraph video=https://content.jwplatform.com/players/ENno7di6-A4cZR76S.html} {SCOpenGraph audio=https://content.jwplatform.com/players/Zf88zyiO-A4cZR76S.html}</div>
Which is pretty difficult for people figure out where things go.

I know that would mean that you would have to also support the CKE-Editor as well, but maybe it only means extending the TinyMCE editor code, which is what the JCE and CKE editors are based on.

I know I am asking for the Moon here, but after Elon Musk so arrogantly sent a Tesla Roadster on an endless journey in an elliptical orbit around the Sun and reaching beyond the orbit of Mars, maybe we can at least shoot for the Moon here.

I hope that helps get you started,

Yes I already responded to you there.

I said:

USER wrote: Thanks Alex, I have already done that. The problem is I have to turn this over to people who are not particularly computer literate and asking them to modify Easy Tags will be a bit daunting for them. I will end up being asked to do that and I would like to step back from this and focus on other things.
