Hi,
We have a FBPage and a FBGroup for our club. The Group is linked to the Page and our webite admin user is an admin of both.
We have a JFBConnect channel which can post to either Page or Group. For the Page this works using 'Post as Page', which is as required. For the Group this channel posts as our admin user's personal Facebook Id, which is not what is required.
On Facebook, the same user can post as the Page to the Group.
Can post as Page via JFBConnect channel to the Group in the same way?
If not, is there any other way to avoid having to manually re-post from the Page to the Group after posting from the website to the Page?
Thanks
Giles
I'm not familiar with the "Post as Page" option into a Group and it's not something JFBConnect supports right now. Unfortunately, that means I also don't have a recommendation as to how to not have to repost it manually if you don't want it to show as from your user account.
It's probably possible to do what you're looking for in JFBConnect, but it's also going to take a bit of work. Each Channel works independently right now. Updating it so a Channel can post to another Channel will take a bit of investigation and I'm not sure if that's possible or what it will take. Just want to be clear that this isn't something I can get you an answer for overnight.
Thanks,
Alex

Thanks as usual for the prompt reply, and it would be great if you could progress this option - I'm sure others will find it useful..
I think Facebook's 'Link Group to Page' is what enables the 'Post as Page to Group', and within Facebook this does exactly what we want.
Like many clubs we have a Page for our formal information, and a Group where people chat. We would like the club secretary to be able to post new website posts directly to the Group so thy get maximum impact, but this needs to come from the club's Page, not her personal Facebook user.
I look forward to hearing if this can be done with JFBConnect.
Regards,
Giles
I will have to investigate how to implement this. I'll get back to you if I have any more questions.
