Hi, we were wondering what we actually supposed to do about this. Can you please advice or assist?

From Facebook:

v2.1 Upgrade Reminder

'Your domain' currently has access to Graph API v2.1 which will reach the end of its 2-year lifetime on 30 October, 2016. To ensure a smooth transition, please migrate all calls to Graph API v2.2 or higher.
To check if your app will be affected by this upgrade you can use the Version Upgrade Tool. This will show you which calls, if any, are affected by this change as well as any replacement calls in newer versions. If you do not see any calls, your app may not be affected by this change.
You can also use our changelog to see the full list of changes in all Graph API versions.

You can view this and other Developer Notifications related to your app, in the App Dashboard.

Short answer, this should be automatically taken care of if you are using at least JFBConnect version 6.4.

Alex wrote a blog post awhile ago for API v2.0 deprecated. In it he laid out a quick timeline of the API deprecations and the corresponding versions of JFBConnect that you should be using. The section for this timeline is titled "What do I need to do?"

I just did a quick glance on the Facebook upgrade guide to refresh myself on changes from 2.1 to 2.2 and it's all related to Page and Group access. We'd already converted our Channels features to use the page access tokens quite awhile ago and many users have been using newer versions of the API/JFBConnect which require this with no issues.

Okay... So we do not have to do anything to upgrade the Facebook App (Graph API v2.1) to the latest version? Does this occur automatically?

I also came across this: developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/upgrading/

Yes it will occur automatically. You will not have to do anything. There used to be a way to set the API version in your Facebook App but that was removed.

Yes, this was the link I posted about in my last response about page/group access.
