So far, I think we have things installed correctly. We have been following the instructions precisely, but as we are not native English speakers, we may have done something wrong along the way.

Where does the FB comments appear except for on the article in Joomla? I thought it would show on a shared articles on out FB page... Do we have to share the article in a special way for that to happen? A little lost among the options. What we first and foremost want is an easy commenting system that includes FB as this drives more readers for us.

JFBConnect helps you to insert the comment boxes to your articles / page content using our content plugin, SCSocialWidget module or our easy-tag for JFBCComments. When you share an article to Facebook (using JFBConnect's autopost or manual post functionality), users can comment on that article on your Facebook page. Facebook does provide the option to mirror comments on the FB page and your own website using what they call "Comment Mirroring". Turning this on will allow your conversation to be visible on both your website and the page. The comment mirroring is a setting in your Facebook page that must be enabled and you can read more about it in Facebook's comment social plugin documentation . I would strongly suggest you read the description at the documentation before enabling it, as "once comment mirroring is turned on for a particular webpage, there is no way to disable mirroring (you can only turn off mirroring for new webpages going forward)"

Thank you very much for responding!

What are the problems with mirroring (except you can not turn it off)?

Honestly, this is a pretty new feature in Facebook and we're not as familiar with it. We haven't had too many users trying to get help with it from us yet.

The documentation is also a little vague. It seems as if:
1. You have to first share the article to Facebook before the comments are mirrored
2. There may be some ambiguity on which content is mirrored: "Comment mirroring takes effect on new webpages created after the setting has been enabled. " I don't know if this means that it would take effect on new articles or just new FB apps, etc

Basically, there's another way to do what you're asking. The comments mirroring is what Facebook provides to synchronize comments on your FB page and website. We'd love to hear your experience/feedback.

"Basically, there's another way to do what you're asking"

Well, feel free to share! :-) If you know a different way, please do not hold back!

That was a mistype. I meant to write "Basically, there's not another way to do what you're asking". Sorry for the confusion.
