Thanks for providing the Newsletter and info Alex.

How have you been.

I have just set up a "Join Us" tab on Facebook and it went through on my first try. Nice people can now subscribe to our Newsletter right on Facebook.

I am going to be changing our domain today from 911truthoutreach.org to 911tap.org and was wondering what I need to watch out for regarding our Facebook channel and the Facebook app on our Facebook developer account.

That's awesome! So glad to hear our newsletter is helping. We're putting a lot of effort into creating 1 good article every week. Don't want to overdo things right now, but hearing that it's being well-received and used is great :)

The biggest issues you'll need to know about or will experience are:
* Go through every social network app you're using and make sure the URL is updated. Many features require knowing you're domain, so if you don't update the applications with the switch, there will be issues.
* Clear the caches on your site once you make the switch to make sure nothing cached remains from the old url.
* Be aware that all of the social networks count Likes, Shares, Tweets, etc are based on the URL that was originally Liked/Shared/Tweeted, etc. That means that your counts for all content will revert to 0 since the URL will be different. There is no way in any social network to transfer Like's from one URL to the other. It's a pain, but it's something you need to be aware of
* For old content that's been shared, make sure you have a proper redirect from the old URL to the new URL keeping the rest of the path the same. That will make sure anyone seeing the post in their feed will at least get directed to the right page on the new site.

I hope that helps, and good luck!

Thanks Alex, good advice.

Will the Channels automatically pick up the new information from the social media accounts once the URLs in those accounts are updated? Should I run AutoTune again?

Don't I have to re-scrape the Facebook page at developer.facebook.com? after changing the domain name there? Forgot how to do that.

What about refreshing the twitter cards after changing the domain name? Forgot how to do that as well.

Are we going to be able to create a REDDIT Channel some day in the near future? Google+ is dead, long live REDDIT.

You should run Autotune again and go into each social network application to update any Callback URLs or other settings that use your domain.

You shouldn't need to re-scrape every URL. JFBConnect will update your Open Graph tags which set the new URL in them to be shared. The most important thing is ensuring that there is a redirect on your server from the old domain to the new domain.

Same answer as above.

Near future? I can't answer. Some day, yes. We have a few other social networks and features we're looking into overall, but I can't give a specific timeline on when things would be released right now.

Thanks, as always, for your feedback and support.
