I can't understand why it wouldn't actually be installing. That's very strange behavior. Our installer really didn't change in this release, so I'm not sure it has to do with the update.

Did you you have JFBConnect installed previously? If so, it seems like it's been removed, which would be even more strange.

Some other things to check that will help us understand further:
* If you go to the Install -> Manage area, and type "JFBC" in the filter/search area, do you see any JFBConnect items listed?
* Do the following directories exist on your server:
/administrator/components/com_jfbconnect/
/components/com_jfbconnect/
