From the error you show, you haven't set an email field that Facebook requires is filled out. I see you've set the Contact Email but not the User Support Email. Can you set both of those and try to save again?

Thanks,
Alex

Ok, but first I clic on "save all recommandations", and lot of errors disappear =)

And put a email address on the required field "User Support Email"

Now I have 3 errors :
"Namespace" in "Application" what name can I put here ? My name, the website name ? What is the best ?
"Privacy Policy URL" in Website Links
"Page Tab Default Name" in Page Tab"

Thank for any help.

Regard.

Saving all recommended values is usually a good first step :)

"Namespace" - Your Website name is a good start. Can be anything though. Generally, users won't see this, so it's a system name for Facebook to identify your application.

"Privacy Policy URL" - You need an article on your site that specified a privacy policy. It can be short "We don't share your information" or a full legal document.

"Page Tab Default Name" This can be anything. Again, website name is a good start. The Page Tab is a feature you likely won't start with, so I wouldn't stress about this one until you've setup other features.

Thanks,
Alex

ok, thank for your help.

So,
"Namespace", I put micmag-be because micmag.be is not possible (not dashes, and must be more than 8 characters)

"Page Tab Default Name", I put micmag.be. It is ok

and for "Privacy Policy URL", I put this : www.micmag.be/copyright, and it is ok.

Ok I progress.

Just for info, we bought this component for one thing. Just to see the right image in Facebook and Twitter.
Because we have problem :

USER wrote: Hello,

before buying JFBConnect, I need to know if it'll fixe our "Open Graph meta tag" problem.

We have problem (wrong image) when we display articles on facebook or twitter..

and you said

USER wrote: Facebook and Twitter use Open Graph meta tags to determine which images and descriptions to use for your shared articles. JFBConnect does provide several different methods to set up these tags correctly depending on your content. If you'd like to read more about how we set the tags, please see www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/open-graph/tags-for-joomla.

In summary, yes, JFBConnect should be able to help solve the issue. However, if you have more questions or need more clarification, please let us know.

Thanks,
-Melissa Andreae

So, let's go. But it is complicated.
Now we have the following problem
JFBConnect Remote Error Check
Checks performed on: http://www.micmag.be/

Warning: Issues were found with your site. Please check all tests below and correct any warnings or errors.

    Test: JFBCSystem plugin is enabled
Fail: Not Detected! Please enable in the Site Config area of Autotune or in the Joomla plugin manager.
But the plugin is well enabled. See my screenshot.

So what can we do to fix it ? Thank.

Regard.

Just for info, we bought this component for one thing. Just to see the right image in Facebook and Twitter.

Honestly, if all you want is to use the Open Graph Tags and Twitter Card Tags, which are what let you set the title, description and image for feed posts in those networks, you don't need to do most of what you're doing. The Autotune configuration tool is for setting up most other features. Most users want social authentication, so we try to steer all users to use that tool.

As for the error you saw in Autotune, I just ran the Error Checker and it's no longer showing. My guess is that there was a caching issue on your page.

Hopefully everything works well for you from here, but if you need help setting up Open Graph Tags (if they don't work how you want by default), just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

That looks to be a standard Joomla article. If so, please enable the Open Graph - Content plugin. That plugin will automatically detect the image in the article and set the appropriate Open Graph tag for Facebook to use. Once enabled, please use the Open Graph debugger again and click the "Fetch new scrape information" button to have Facebook re-scan your page.

Hopefully that's all you need.

Thanks,
Alex

Ah stupid am I ?

Ok, it is working better now. Thank you.

And last questions:
// Do I activate the "Open Graph - Custom Object" too ?

// is it possible to select the first image from a article ?
Example here, this is the image inside the article which is selected for facebook...

www.micmag.be/les-dossiers/dumping-socia...monde-par-excellence

No, based on the description of your problem and what you're trying to do, you should not need to enable this plugin.

// is it possible to select the first image from a article ?
Example here, this is the image inside the article which is selected for facebook...

In the JFBConnect backend > Open Graph > Objects section, please create an object. Make sure to select the appropriate category, and then you'll be able to select the image to come from the first one found in the articles.

www.micmag.be/les-dossiers/dumping-socia...monde-par-excellence

I'm not sure why you provided this link, but when I try to visit it, I get a 404 error...
