I'm trying to use JFBConnect to create userprofiles, but it does not work. I have a lot of dropdown fields that still needs to be filled ot - but I do not get the posibility?? The user is created in Joomla user system but not in CB. I HAVE activated and set the "Social Profiles - Community Builder" plugin - what is wrong here. I am using latest version of everything on my site.

JFBConnect doesn't have a method to send the user through the normal CB registration as the code for that extension is too difficult to integrate with at that level. To let the user see the CB fields during registration, you'll want to configure JFBConnect to *not* perform automatic registration and then set the "Registration Component" to "JFBConnect". That should show the fields from CB that need to be filled out.

JFBConnect will try to save the user to both Joomla and CB. However, CB will not let the user be saved if the required fields aren't filled out. That could be either because the user didn't do so or because the fields were not configured to be displayed. You'll need to make sure any fields set as required are shown to the user on the JFBConnect registration page.

Another thing you may want to try is un-requiring each of the fields set to required, temporarily, until registration works. Then, start re-requiring fields individually to determine which field is causing registration to fail. That will help us narrow things down quickly.

Thanks,
Alex

Ok - i got the fields to show now - but sadly the conditinal plugin of Community Builder is not working when using this integration - I have a street dropdown that conditions some housenumber dropdowns - they are ALL shown - so that is no good. Is it possible to fix that ?

No, we don't support that plugin. We support the standard Community Builder profile configuration but do not support some of the additional paid plugins. Those plugins may be nice, but they add another layer of complexity to an already difficult system to work with (code-wise) and it's not something we plan to support.

With that said, you could try to use the Automatic Registration feature of JFBConnect and setup the "New User Redirection" option to go to a "Edit Profile" menu item. The user would be automatically created without those fields filled out and the fields would need to be optional, but it would give you a method to let users authenticate with social networks while leaving your conditional fields in their profile.

I hope that helps,
Alex
