How to create a Facebook App Tutorial

By default, JFBConnect doesn't request any additional permissions that need approval. The only additional permissions that get requested if you enable some Social Profile plugins and try to import extended data or try to configure Open Graph Actions.

If you go to the "Status & Review" section in Facebook, it will show you which permissions your app has attempted to request. That will be different for every site and based on what profile information you're trying to import.

I hope that helps explain some background information on the permissions. However, if you can explain more about what permissions you're trying to request and how you've configured things, we'll gladly try to help explain further.

Thanks for that. However the permissions in Facebook are missing. Do you need manage_pages as a permission?
What kind of permissions do you need for JFBConnect to work.

In general, JFBConnect will handle setting any special permissions that are needed for your application. We build up the permissions scope dynamically based on which JFBConnect features you are using. This is why permissions are not mentioned in the steps. Your example of manage_pages is only needed with our Channels features. In this case, after you set up a channel in the backend, JFBConnect will prompt users in the front-end for that permission as they log in with Facebook. This permission is not something that you need to set up manually yourself.

We do have a setting in the JFBConnect > Configuration > Facebook options for additional permissions. However, this is generally only used for advanced configurations or debugging purposes.

In step 12 of the tutorial there is an image missing.
