Can you let me know:
* Are you testing from your Facebook Administrator account, or from another Facebook account?
* Is there anything shown in the Open Graph -> Activity Logs area when you try to post?
* Is the privacy of the image set to "Public"?
* Where are you trying to upload from... a JomSocial Album or the activity feed / status update area?

Open Graph Actions have a lot of moving parts, so understanding the above will help us get things going quicker.

Thanks,
Alex

Thank you for the as always quick response. The activity log might be the key thing I didn't notice
  1. I'm using a test account
  2. This is the error message i get:(#3502) Object at URL http://#####.com/index.php?option=com_community&view=photos&task=photo&albumid=57&userid=948&photoid=205&Itemid=127 has og:type of 'article'. The property 'gallery' requires an object of og:type '#######:gallery'.
  3. Set to public I think
  4. A social album

When not logged into your site and attempting to go to the above link, I am being redirected to a page to login with a user. This means that the page will not be accessible to Facebook to scrape/determine the correct og:type for the page. If I put in the link above to the Facebook scraper, I get that it sees the page as https://####.com/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&view=login. The og:type on the comprofiler page is article, which does not match the type set on your object/action.

When I am logged into your site with a user I just created, the og:type looks proper of "pranalytic:gallery". Please try making the gallery open for the public and retrying.

Ok everything in jomsocial was set public, but the menu items set from registered to public took the error in the activity logs away. But the notification is still not posting to Facebook.

Are you getting any rows added to the Activity Log area? If so, it's important to understand how Open Graph Actions work and where to look in Facebook. When you go to your profile, in the right side of your Cover Photo is an "Activity Log" button. Click that and scan through there to see if the action was posted.

All Actions should show in the activity log. From there, Facebook automatically decides whether to show that activity to users in your feed, in the activity 'ticker' or various other methods. You can use the little circle next to the action to force it to show on your timeline, but by default, it's simply "allowed on your timeline", which means Facebook's algorithms determine who sees it on your Timeline.

Let us know if that helps,
Alex
