When I tag www.christlittlerock.com in Facebook a weird description meta tag comes up. If I look at the source code for the final php page I find where it come from "twitter discription" but I have no clue where to change this or how to modify, and get the right stuff coming up. Joomla's meta tags are set to "A community of believers focused on the commission of Jesus Christ, to baptize and make disciples of every nation. All are welcome! Visit our site to learn more." but this isn't what you see.

On your home page you linked to, I see the following Open Graph tag:
<meta property="og:description" content="A community of believers focused on the commission of Jesus Christ, to baptize and make disciples of every nation. All are welcome! Visit our site to learn more."/>
Open Graph tags are what Facebook uses for their description. The twitter:description is for Twitter, but has the same value.

In either case, the tag I posted above looks like what you want to be set.

If you're still seeing the wrong value, please run your page through the Facebook Open Graph Debug Tool or the Social Debug tool to see what's seen on your page when it's scanned. That may help find where the incorrect text is coming from.

Thanks,
Alex

Hey Thanks Alex. I started to clue in to that Open Graph is the place i needed to be exploring and learning about. Once I learned that I realized that the preview description is determined by article contents. What it actually came down to was hidden text on the article that is assigned to the homepage that still had the demo description from joomla shine.

No problem for the explanation. I'm glad to hear you figured things out on your own. If there's anything that you think we could do better within JFBConnect to make things easier though, please let us know.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It's certainly not required, but very appreciate:

Thanks,
Alex
