www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/post...reate-social-channel; "If this list is empty, you will need to authenticate on the front-end using the login button for the selected provider (not Joomla credentials). "
The Users are mapped to internal existing Joomla users with admin profile when I look at the "User map", so the login and registration seems to work ok.

I have completely logout in the front-end, and loged in with the selected provider (not with Joomla) in the login, then logged in in the backend. I can't select any channel owner, neither for FB, nor for Twitter, nor for Linkedin.

Please make sure that you 1) first save the Facebook channel in the backend, then 2) authenticate with the Facebook credentials on the front-end. Saving the channel before authenticating will tell JFBConnect that it needs to request the appropriate manage_pages or user_groups permisssions. Were these permissions requested when you authenticated? After authenticating and accepting these permissions, please go into the channel and refresh. Is the channel owner list still blank at this point?

If it's still empty, could you try the workaround listed in this thread:
www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect/jf...-picking-user#p50744

I can't select any channel owner, neither for FB, nor for Twitter, nor for Linkedin.

Please note, for creating a LinkedIn company page channel, you will need to authenticate on the front-end with LinkedIn, and for the Twitter Stream with your Twitter credentials.

Hello Melissa,

Thanks for your support.
The procedure with first logging in in the frontend, and then going to the backend doesn't work, so I tried the second approach you recommended.
For this:
The user.php file doesn't exist in the folder /administrator/components/com_jfbconnect/views/channel/tmpl , we only had the default.php file.
We set short_open_tag to on.

Result is still the same, channel owner can't be set.

Regards,

Andreas

When I debug the Channel user selector, I see the following url throw a 500 error:
www.expertflow.com/administrator/index.p...form_attribs_user_id

If you're logged into the admin area, and you try to go to that link you posted above directly, is a 500 error thrown? If so, that's the problem and we'll need to understand why it's not working. Is there any message on the 500 error page that may help explain things? That's how JFBConnect shows the list of available users which is obviously a problem if it doesn't load.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Melissa, that worked ( the <?php ) and solved my problem.
Sorry, we made the change in the wrong file, that's why it didn't work initially.

Not a problem. Glad that solved your problem. This fix was included in the latest 6.3 release, so you shouldn't need to make that change again if you upgrade.
