Topic-icon JFBCFan tags appear in frontend instead of the expected box

Hi there
We are migrating from j2.5 to j3

The JFBCFan that we use, after the migration instead of showing the 300x250 box that it was showing, it now shows the tags themselves

{JFBCFan height=250 width=300 colorscheme=light href=http://www.facebook.com/my.page.here show_faces=1 stream=0 header=0 border_color=black force_wall=0 key=}

I have checked and the Content - JFBCContent plugin is installed and enabled.

I also tried using the "JFBC Social Share" module.
Without managing to have the same view (300x250) that I wanted, I again got the tags on the front page:
{JLinkedShare href=http://www.facebook.com/my.page.here layout=standard showzero=0 key=}

What am I missing?

If you don't have a 'Social Tag Admin Key' value set in the JFBConnect > Social > Misc section, then you should not have "key=" with a blank value. The older version of the software was a little more lenient. However, it shouldn't be in your tag, so I think this is the problem. Let me know if it still does not render properly after removing that.

Hi there,

Thanks for your answer, but the tag is automatically generated from your modules:
Both the JFBCFan module and the JFBC Social Share modules that I tried do the same thing.

After your message, I also tried adding a key to the JFBConnect > Social > Misc section but then, it just produced tags (again visible) like that:
{JFBCFan height=250 width=300 colorscheme=light href=http://www.facebook.com/my.page.here show_faces=1 stream=0 header=0 border_color=black force_wall=0 key=2288}

The JFBCFan module is no longer supported and hasn't been for quite some time. I didn't realize you were still using that. Please switch to using the SCSocialWidget module and select the Like Box widget. The parameters for setting up the widget should be the same. Try updating this module first; using the JFBCFan module might be breaking JFBCSocialShare. If you update and the JFBCSocialShare module is still breaking, we'll go from there.

Hallo there

Thanks for your answer.
I have installed the latest SCSocialWidget module and I have configured it as you said, but with no luck. I can only see the title of the module and nothing else.

I have disabled completely the JFBCFan module, but with no luck either.

How should I proceed?

Could you please provide a specific URL where the Fan module is not working? I went to your homepage and it is loading for me. If this is the page you were looking at, perhaps the content was cached.

Hi Melissa,
As we are doing development on a different environment (not the live one), and I would not like the url of that one public, I have sent you a pm with the url.

Thanks
Konstantinos

On the page you sent me the Facebook sdk.js javascript file is not being properly loaded on the page, which would prevent any of the widgets from being displayed. Could you try turning off any javascript and CSS optimizations you might have enabled and disabling caching and the system cache plugin to see if this helps?

I have turned caching off. I have turned an optimiser we were using also off, but it still does not work.

What is supposed to load the Facebook sdk.js ? Is it supposed to be loaded by the modules? I dont see such a request in the html, and I dont see an error about that in the inspector either.

The JFBCSystem plugin inserts it. Are you using the latest 6.2.4 version of JFBConnect?
