When you use the Open Graph "Defaults" box in the JFBConnect configuration area, that will set a default image to be used on all pages of your site. JFBConnect will set it as a lower priority image though, so any other images that are set by JFBConnect (either automatically or manually by yourself) should be used first.So how do I force 1 image to the home page, let all other pages with images pull the image from the page the visitor is on. I can get one or the other. When I define image in graph, it goes to every page. When I remove it, I have even more display errors that seem to either break the Google image display or the Facebook.
{SCOpenGraph image=http://yoursite.com/link-to-image.jpg}
I don't think this is related to JFBConnect. Can you please disable the JFBCSystem plugin, which will disable all JFBConnect functionality, and test if you have the same issue. If the problem persists, then it means JFBConnect is not the cause. If the problem goes away, let us know.The second image... My CSS seems to have gone crazy. This happened with the install of JFB Connect. It seems to have broken my front-end editing also, when I edit a module now and save/close, it takes the slash out of the url following the .com. Any ideas?
Please post a link to your download page that we can see to test with. I'm not sure what's going on here. Please note, if the page is not public (needs registration to view), then Facebook or Google will not be able to scan it to see the content of the page.While a visitor is in the Download section,
-when someone clicks the Google+ recommend button, the image, title and URL all display correctly in the share box, but it does not display the page description. I just need the description to show.
-The FaceBook Share button, shows the title, page image and page description.
I'm not sure what's going on here. We may need to get super admin access to your site so we can test the front-end editing functionality and understand what's going on. Can you please Private Message me admin credentials? You can PM me by clicking the mail icon under my name to the left.Next, the images of the oddly formatted Front-end editing Tool-Tip from above. When I disabled the JFBConnect plugin as you suggested, the Tool-Tip returned to normal, and when I saved an edited module, it redirected correctly. When enabling the plugin again, the problem returns. The formatting is very strange ... plus when I try to edit and save, it returns me to the correct URL, missing the "/" after the .com in the return url.
Yes, that tag will only set the image. You can override other Open Graph tags if you want to, like {SCOpenGraph title=My better title}, but that's up to you if you want to do that. As for placing the code, it needs to be in any place that will show on your home page, as noted above: "You can insert that in an articles contents, a custom HTML module, your template or any other position. "If I add the "{SCOpenGraph image=link-to-image.jpg} tag." somewhere only in my home page, I will get the image I choose and the sites meta description... correct? Where would I place the code to acheive that?
