Hello,

I'm having trouble with Autotune connecting to my home page during Error Check, I get the following:

JFBConnect Remote Error Check
Checks performed on: woodmutts.com/
Error: Uh oh! We could not fetch that page.
Couldn't resolve host 'woodmutts.com'

If you are having Facebook authentication issues after correcting any warnings and errors above, please ensure your Facebook Application is "Live". You can enable that setting by:

Going to the Facebook Application Area
Go to the the "Status & Review" section
Make sure the top switch for "Do you want to make this app and all its live features available to the general public?" is set to YES.

The only thing I can figure is the main site url does not include the trailing slash, but I'm not able to change it since the Facebook app requires the slash. The site is not off line or blocked in any way, and I do have the app available to general public set to YES.

Any ideas what might be causing the problem? I can provide ftp and admin access if needed.

Thanks

It appears there are some DNS problems with your website. Our server cannot find your site and neither can pingdom, so it's not just us. Check out the error details here:
dnscheck.pingdom.com/?domain=woodmutts.c...mp=1421247195&view=1

I just manually performed the checks on your page that our Autotune tool would have performed and your site looks ok.

Well that's interesting. :)

Since everything seems to be working otherwise, do you think this might cause any issues that I should look out for? The reason I ask, I'm using HostGator just to get my site up and running, at which point I'll move it to a dedicated server at Dream Host. I know this won't be an issue there. So as long as I can get the site working properly, I can just keep moving forward.

Please try to authenticate with different social networks to see if you have any problems to make sure they're able to redirect back to your pages correctly. One of the more obvious things that I could foresee being a problem are Open Graph tags, as Facebook needs to scrape your page to get information for Sharing/Like previews.

As I said, everything that I manually checked looked good, so it looks like it should work. But bbviously we'd recommend trying to resolve the issues as there may be some strange behavior.

If you do run into problems (now or once you move hosts), please let us know.
