When I try to login, there's a module in the center column, top, that shows my avatar and a link to my profile. Below that is the SCLogin module which thinks I'm not logged in. JFBConnect also doesn't think I'm logged in, which is why it's trying to re-authenticate the user over and over.

I'm not sure why Joomla seems in a mixed state with some extensions thinking the user is logged in and others not being aware the user is logged in.

Can you please disable any caching or optimization extensions on your site and see if that helps? I've never seen an issue like that before, so it's frankly a little bizarre as to what's happening.

Please let me know if you're seeing the same behavior or something different. Also, what is that module at the top for "Messages" which seems to be detecting the user logged in. It's possible something is, half way through the page load, incorrectly logging the user out.

Thanks,
Alex

Can you try:
* Disabling that Whos Online module
* Disabling the social profile plugins and see if that helps?
* Check your User and System plugins. If there's anything that's not core to Joomla or you think you don't need, please try disabling them, just to test, and see if that fixes things. From what I can tell, something really seems to be logging the user out half way through the page load, but I'm not sure what that could be.

Beyond that, I'd have to ask to send me admin credentials and we'll gladly investigate further once we know how the above works out.

Thanks,
Alex

Iveth,
Sorry for the delay. I just tried the credentials you sent me, but they don't work. I keep getting "Username or password don't match".

Additionally, the page you linked to is a Joomla 1.5 site. What version of JFBConnect are you using on that site? Is the Facebook application on that site 'new' (as in, created in the last few months) or is it an older app you've been using for a while? Facebook has been making many changes lately, and some of them impact functionality on newer apps. Only the more recent versions of JFBConnect for Joomla 2.5 and 3+ will work with the changes.

Older apps have been grandfathered in, but will stop working at some point.

Thanks,
Alex

Iveth,
Sorry for the delay. I just tested quite a bit on your site, but was unsuccesful in finding the problem for not logging in.

One thing I did notice is that even if I try to login on the JomSocial home page using the Joomla credentials you sent me, I'm not actually logged into the site. Something seems to be preventing any sort of logins on the front end, from what I can tell, and JFBConnect is simply affected by the same problem. Unfortunately, I have no idea what is causing the problem, but hopefully knowing that it happens to standard Joomla accounts and using JomSocial as well will help narrow things down.

Please let me know if you determine the cause or if you need more help. We'll gladly do whatever we can, but from what I can see, this is not an issue with JFBConnect or the SCLogin module directly.

Thanks,
Alex

I definitely hope that the restore works, although that's never fun to do.

Please keep me posted on how that goes. Should you need any other assistance, just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex
