Hi

I am working as developer for faceday.com. I have installed and configured JFBConnect, JomSocial and AlphaUserPoints components on faceday.com but these are not meeting our requirements. We are using JFBRequest module to invite facebook friends and SCLogin for facebook login.

Below are our requirements:
- Invite facebook friends using JFBRequest module.
- AlphaUserPoints should provide points to user on each invitation
- These points should be displayed on JomSocial user's profile/wall.

Suppose, i invite 5 facebook friends then AUP should provide me 50 points i.e 10 points on each invitation.

Please tell me how i can configure it in this way.

* Have you installed the AUP plugin to allow rewarding of points on sending invitations? Once done, you need to configure how many points to award within AUP.
* Have you enabled the AUP integration in JFBConnect in the Social Configuration -> misc area?

Finally, you mention posting on the JomSocial profile/wall.. do you want JomSocial points or AUP points? They are separate, and we don't currently support JomSocial points, but plan to soon.

Comments: There is default rule in AUP to provide points to user on Invite and Invite with Success. I have enabled these rules and also set points for them. If i invite a user using jomsocial's Invite feature, it is providing points to user but not working for JFCRequest module, to invite facebook friends.

You don't need to enter a Social Tag Admin Key for the AUP feature. Those are separate options.

As you said that in the misc directory of the main file of JFBConnect package, we download from your site, there are additional rules to work with JFBConnect's Request feature. But as i checked the .zip file there is no MISC directory. There are some plugin in packages folder at : com_jfbconnect_j2.5_v4.3.0/admin/install/packages and i think they already installed during the installation of com_jfbconnect component. Please tell me why those plugins are not the .zip file we download from your site.

Can we download or buy those required plugin files..? Please reply me asap as i said that we have launch of our site very soon and this is the major obstacle.

The file you attached was for the main component installation. It did not include any of the extra modules or plugins that the original package available from this site.. Additionally, that was v4.3.0 which is more than 6 months old. I'd recommend downloading the latest release package from our site, v5.0.1, and using that as there are many improvements and bug fixes since 4.3.0.

Either package (the original 4.3.0 or the 5.0.1) will have a misc directory with the AUP rules in it.

Hi Alex

There is one more issue and i want to discuss it with you.

JFBRequest is properly working with AUP and giving points to user when he invite his facebook friends. There is one more rule 'Invite with Success' in AUP and FB when invited user joins our site then it should give points to the user who sent invites. But currently it is not working for that rule.

Please help here.

The 'Invite with Success' award is something built-in to Alpha User Points and isn't meant for Facebook Requests.

We don't currently have a similar rule for JFBConnect to award points after a user registers when a Request has been sent to that user. It is something we have plans to implement in a future release, but I don't have a timeline on when that would be available.
