JFBC v5x Plugins Not Appearing in Config

I just upgraded to v5. Awesome!

However, the profile plugins show as not installed. I reinstalled them, confirmed they are enabled.....no luck.

Here is my plugin manager showing all the plugins enabled:

I likely have more confidence in your product than I do in my expertise, but am I missing something?

ARRGGHHH!

I figured this out as soon as I hit send......these plugins, once installed do NOT have JFBC in the name like the v4x version did. When I filtered the plugins by "jfbc" it showed me the OLD, v4 plugins. I went in to "manage plugins where you can see the version number I realized what happened. I uninstalled those, looked for plugins with "social" in the name and voila! There they were! I enabled them and all is well....sofar!

My recommendation is that you keep the "jfbc" in the plugin name on the v5 stuff so ALL the JFBC plugins are consistent and easy to find.....

I do understand. It does make sense.

Perhaps in the updated v5 documentation you could add a blurb about this change in logistics to make it clear on the update? Maybe a "read me" in the download file?

Thanks for the great stuff! My intention is to renew my subscription next month when it expires and possibly buy the JFBC/Jlinked package.....

There was a note during installation that you had 'old' profile plugins installed and that JFBConnect was upgrading the settings.. and that you should install the new ones. That's being missed by more than just you though, so we'll be updating that in the next release if it's still posing issues for users. You shouldn't need to worry about it ever again though

I saw that note as well. I did install them. The issue was introduced by the fact that the installer does not uninstall the old versions and when you go in to look at the JFBC plugins in plugin manager it lists the v4x plugins enabled right alongside the new ones that DO get installed. there is no mention of version number there so I thought that the ones listed were the correct ones so didn't originally install the v5 plugins manually. It wasn't until I got into the "extension manager/manage" that I could see the version numbers and then only when I realized the name wasn't like the old ones and was able to fix it all.

I think it would help to perhaps automatically uninstall the old versions with the upgrade/installer? Is that possible?

Or, alternatively/additionally, maybe create a page on the JFBC back-end that lists with direct links to all of the relevant plugins? I have seen this in other components. Your "Overview" page lists all the plugins and whether they were installed, but maybe you could add links to each actual plugin from that overview page?

Just some thoughts.
