Peter,
This latest release has had very few issues. There have been some, but we'll be releasing v4.3.1 later this week that should take care of the primary ones. The biggest has been the cut-off Like button.

As for your issue, my guess is that it's a confusion about the new Open Graph system. Previously, for articles, we'd automatically set the title, description and image. Now, all you need to do to re-enable that behavior is install and enable the Open Graph - Content plugin that is in the main JFBConnect main zip file you can download from this site. It's one extra step, but the new Open Graph plugins allow us to create customized title, description, image and other tags fror multiple other extensions, like JomSocial, jReviews, EasyBlog and more. It's also what enable the Open Graph Actions feature, which is excellent for promotion.

So, in short, I'm sorry you're running into issues, but that's what our support is for. This new release is definitely a big release, but overall stability really hasn't gone down, just some minor rough edges that should be fixed in the next week or so.

If you still have issues after enabling the new Open Graph - Content plugin, let us know, and we'll gladly help how we can!

Thanks,
Alex

Hi, maybe i will be looks like dummy, but i dont know where and how i can define image, which need to be loaded with article.

Like Button Warnings That Should Be Fixed

Like Button Tag Missing:
og:image is missing. The og:image meta tag is necessary for Facebook to render a News Feed story that generates a high click-through rate.
Open Graph Warnings That Should Be Fixed

Meta with name instead of property:
The meta tag on the page was specified with name 'author', which matches a configured property of this object type. It will be ignored unless specified with the meta property attribute instead of the meta name attribute.
Tiny og:image: All the images referenced by og:image must be at least 200px in both dimensions. Please check all the images with tag og:image in the given url and ensure that it meets the minimum specification.

In backend - components - JFBC - Open Graph:

Object Settings
Extension: K2
Layout: item
Name: K2-item-BM-meta
Object Type: Object Type
Built-In Facebook Object UNchecked
Published: Published

Custom Parameters

Select a category: Bikemagazin.sk (this is my top category)
Description Type: meta
Description Length: 120
Image Type: Item image (i was try to change to other possibilities)
Custom Image Path:

I REALLY dont know how and where i need to change "something" to fix tihis problem. On FB application? In backend of my website?

Im helpless :(

You sound like you have the right settings enabled. Just enabling the K2 plugin should be all that's necessary. By simply enabling that plugin, the plugin will automatically set the first image within your K2 article as the og:image. You can create the special Open Graph object stuff if you want to change how the image is set or if you want to setup Open Graph Actions. Open Graph Actions let you automatically post to a user's wall when they read, vote, or comment on a K2 item. You can read more about Open Graph Actions on the page below:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/open-graph/

As for your current issue, how is the image set in your K2 articles? Are you adding an image inline in the text of the article, or are you using the Image tab within K2 to set a special image for each article? The Item Image setting (what you say you have it set to now) will use the image from the Image tab. You can set it to "First Content Image" if your images are in the actual article text.

Finally, after setting that up, clear your Joomla cache to make sure the new settings take effect. If that doesn't help or work for you, let us know a K2 page from your site that we can look at to help understand your configuration a little more.

Thanks,
Alex

Actually I ran into this problem as well. However I dont allow any plugins to define og: elements, I do it myself. The description is defined, yet the fb post looks like what you would see on google if you didnt define a meta desc tag at all, a slurp of bits of text.

Im trying to make the open graph "you <action> a <object>" and probably that plugin is causing it? Would make sense because you need og definitions if that would work.

Peter,
You won't get anything in your Activity Log unless you're trying to create actions, like posting to a user's Timeline whenever they read or vote on an article, or upload an image in JomSocial, etc.

The Open Graph tags are what describe your page, and just enabling the plugin should automatically set that for you. You don't need to create the "Objects" or "Actions unless you want to post things in the user's Timeline. If just enabling the K2 plugin isn't setting your open graph (title, description, image) as you'd expect, please try the following:
* Run your page through the Facebook Debug Tool. Check what the data is that Facebook is seeing for your page:
developers.facebook.com/tools/debug
* Post, or Private Message, us the URL of a page from your site that doesn't have the right tags set. We'll gladly look into it further for you.

Paul,
Once you create the "you <action> a <object>" settings in your Facebook App, you need to setup the Object and Action in JFBConnect that corresponds to each of the settings you created in your app. Our guide should step you through the process:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect-test/open-graph-actions

If you have any questions just let us know!

Thanks,
Alex

URL for example:
www.bikemagazin.sk/clanky/podujatia/pozv...ubacove-2122012.html

Debugger:
developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/o...ubacove-2122012.html

Actually status:
2 different thing:
LIKE or SENT: i see picture, description OK

when i copy url of article fro browser, and paste this url to status or whateever somewhere direct on FB, image is not showing.

In this article /K2/ is image inline in text and other image (the same but different size) is on Image tab.

now... i dont know if now is problem in JFBC, or K2 update or Joomla 2.5.8 update

Peter,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to this. There's a few issues that I'm seeing, and they're relating to a few different things:
1) The most recent K2 update tries to insert their own Open Graph tags. Unfortunately, they do it very poorly. Some of the issues are:
* The tag is actually incorrectly formatted
* The image they insert is for the XS (extra small) version of the image, which is too small for Facebook to use. The tag they are inserting is for:
www.bikemagazin.sk/media/k2/items/cache/...6204d08aac170_XS.jpg
2) JFBConnect isn't trying to insert the image tag, which should be a better choice.

I can't fix the K2 problem, but we can help you with the JFBConnect issue. I'm not sure what's going wrong and would love to help investigate further. Would it be possible to send us a set of super administrator credentials so we can look into it? We'll let you know what we find and hopefully get you fixed up soon.

If so, please Private Message the credentials to us by hitting the arrow under my avatar (<
) and hitting the mail icon.

Thanks,
Alex
