SCLogin and mobile template issue

SCLogin and mobile template issue

Hello,
I have set SCLogin module on my site with the desktop theme and it works like a charm. Then I tried to set it up on the mobile theme but I cant get the Facebook Connect  to work. I created a 2nd SCLogin module and set it onto a module position of my mobile template. The regular login part displays and acts correctly. For the Facebook login, I just got "Connect with Facebook" text, not even a link, and no button.
Is it compatible with mobile template? If it is, how can I fix this?
Thank you.

Hello,
for the FB Connect to work, you should verify that all the JS files/scripts are loaded in the mobile theme.
try loading the mobile theme on a desktop computer and see what is missing.

Hello Mati,

thank you for your help.
The screenshot is taken from a desktop (FF with User Agent iPhone). How can I check if the JS files/scripts are loaded?

Thank you.

access the website without the mobile agent, but load the mobile theme (set it as default temporarily, or have a direct link to it).

Re: SCLogin and mobile template issue

Mati,
I have set the mobile template as default and I have the exact same result: Facebook connect as simple text. (see screenshot)

Hello,
what is the link to access the mobile template (not with a mobile device)?

Re: SCLogin and mobile template issue

I can't find a link to the mobile template. The only way is to switch to mobile as default as you mentioned earlier.
I can provide an admin login so you can change it to have a look.

create a new page, and add a menu link to it (you can have it hidden if you like).
assign the mobile template to that menu item.

then send us the link.

Re: SCLogin and mobile template issue

here's the link for the mobile template page:
http://www.tahitireviews.com/index.php/mobile

I have added the JFBConnect module on that page

Re: SCLogin and mobile template issue

Hello,
there seems to be a JS problem with jReviews (something with the language):

Code:

jrLanguage is not defined

[Break On This Error]

'compare_heading': jrLanguage["compare.heading"],

I suggest you first try to remove jReviews from that mobile-test page, and add a 'regular' joomla content page.
if that works, then we can assume the issue is JReviews.

Re: SCLogin and mobile template issue

Mati is correct that jReviews seems to be having issues. However, it's more widespread than that. The Javascript that JFBConnect normally inserts into the page is missing. If you open the HTML and search for "all.js", it's not there. That's the Facebook Javascript library and is required for operation. It's on your non-mobile site.

Something seems to be removing Javascript and other code from at least JFBConnect and jReviews. I'd look into what's doing that and it will probably fix your issue.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Re: SCLogin and mobile template issue

Hello Alzander and Mati,

I have switched to a yootheme template but the problem remained unfortunately.
Following your recommendations and also this post, here's what I have done to have the Facebook Login button inside my mobile template:

1-  added this code

Code:

$this['asset']->addFile('js', 'js:all.js');

in /templates/yootheme_template/layouts/template.config.php where is says "// add javascripts"

At this point, the JFB Connect module displays correctly when published in a mobile module position. Then I wanted to have the Facebook button in the original login module of the mobile template. So I looked for the proper template file to edit:

2 - added {JFBCLogin} in the login.php file in /templates/yootheme_theme/warp/systems/joomla/layouts/mobile, right before the end of the first form tag

I hope this will help others. But at least this will help me redo these steps in the future  current/tongue
Please feel free to react if you see see something wrong.

Cheers.
