Hi, earlier today I had the problem that the two modules JFBCRecommendations and JFBCFan were superimposed on one another on my website, so it was totally unreadable. Now, I've moved the JFBCRecommendations module to the bottom of the column. But now it doesn't show at all..

Have you had any similar problems with this modukle? It's been working fine for a long time, but not anymore...

Dag,
It may sound strange, but can you try changing the font-type of the Recommendations bar from Lucida Grande to something else? There's a bug with that setting that can cause weird issues.

That may not help, and if not, let us know, but that's the best starting point to make sure we're debugging the right issue.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks, but changing font didn't help.

I realize now that the module doesn't show when I first go to the page or when I reload the page (which is what I've been doing to check the module), but when I click on an internal link on the web page, the module will show up then...

So I guess users don't see the module when they first go to the page, but if they click on links it'll show up then...

Any remedies?

Best regards

Dag,
Sorry for the delay. We've been looking more into the issue and have found out that it's a Facebook Javascript issue. There's not anything we can do to fix this on JFBConnect's end, it's something that Facebook will have to correct. For more information on the problem, and to see some of the FB bug reports we found, please check out this other post about the Facebook Recommendation problem we just made.

Hope that helps explain, and sorry for the inconvenience,
Alex

Thanks Alex,

Is there perhaps another widget or module that shows something similar?

Hov about the most commented (or liked) articles in K2 - does that exist..?

Best regards

Dag,
Right now, there isn't. Facebook doesn't have any methods to aggregate the number of Likes or Comments for a site. It's something we'd have to fetch and maintain within your database. It's something we are considering doing in a future release so that there can be neat widgets for showing popular pages based on different social criteria, but it's not something available right now.

Hope that helps answer your question, even if it's not exactly what you're looking for.

Thanks,
Alex
