Hi,

I had a thread going on the pre sales questions section but figure I'd start fresh here being the more acceptable spot.
Previous thread url for refresher: www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect/jf...llery-23-integration

I had tried adding the tags to the code behind for gallery. Didn't seem to take. This gallery is being bridged into Joomla. The gallery itself is on the server as a standalone installation which is being fed into Joomla using some bridge additions I came across. Ideas of something else I can try with this?

I have also added it to eventlist, k2, articles. Everything seems to be working great. There is a small issue of the like button not generating a capture unless a comment is left as well on the same page.

Open to ideas.

Thanks. great product.

Jhmac78,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you!

I'm not sure how the bridging is happening to your gallery. Is the content being displayed in an iFrame, or is it pulled 'into' Joomla and rendered there? If it's the latter, our {JFBCxyz} tags should work. If it's an iFrame, our tags would be seen by the gallery. In that case, you'd need to either:
* Add the actual Like button script code to the Gallery software directly so that it will show on each page. The problem with that is whether you'd know the actual URL that the gallery content is displayed on within Joomla.. would you know that? Is there a separate URL for your Joomla site for each page of your Gallery site?
* Add the {JFBCxyz} tags to a module on your Joomla site that would display on the 'outer edges' of the iFrame'd content from your gallery. Not sure what your gallery looks like or how it's displayed within the Joomla template, so this may or may not be possible.

Let us know if that helps clarify things or what sounds better. If you have questions, just let us know. Very glad to hear things are going well otherwise!

Thanks,
Alex

Very sorry for the delay in getting back to this! I got your PM and had a look at the site. Nice looking site, by the way.

You're correct, the images aren't iFramed, which is good. Even better, each image has it's own 'real' URL.. it's not Javascript or something that 'pages' through the images while leaving the URL the same. So, we should definitely be able to get something going for you. There's a few options I can think of after seeing your site.
Insert the tags into the gallery software itself
I know you mentioned in your PM: "I have tried inserting the tags into the gallery code and it didn't seem to read." I'm not exactly sure what you meant there. If you saw the raw {JFBCLike} tags in Joomla, that means you might just need to order the JFBCSystem plugin later (higher number) to make sure it sees the tags. If the {JFBCLike} tag is missing, but no Like button is appearing, that could be a css (or one of many other) issues. If you implement it again, let us know and we can look to see what's happening in the actual HTML

Add the JFBCLike module to the page
Since your pages are showing within Joomla with their own URL, another option is to simply use our JFBCLike module. Create it and set it to only display on your Gallery pages. From the site, using the &tp=1 parameter on your URL, you have plenty of positions that may work for the Like button: inset, right, left1, left2, left3. There are others as well, but one of those may get you started.

Let me know if any of that works, or doesn't for you. Hopefully it gets you started though.

Best of luck,
Alex
