I can't get the Status message to show up on my Facebook wall.

I went into Status/Wall setting and set to yes. I am logged into my site using JFBconnects so that I am connected to facebook when I update My Status on my Jomsocial Profile.

Is there anything else I need to do to get this new feature to work?

The feature you talking about doesn't exists. We're looking at ways to hook into the status field on JomSocial, but haven't got it right just yet.

Right now, the status that is sent to a Facebook wall is done on registration and logging into your Joomla site only. We do have a function call which other components/modules can use to write to the user's wall as well.

Ideally, how would you like this to work? Status messages from Facebook and JomSocial are always in sync (so if you post to one, it shows up as the most recent on the other)? Or only one-way: JomSocial messages only post to Facebook or the opposite direction?

I use a plugin right now for Jomsocial called Follow me that works for Twitter. If the status is updated on Jomsocial it updates Twitter account status. It does NOT update facebook only Twitter so having that option with JFBconnects would really be a great feature. Hello,
I just purchased your component and was wondering if there's any progress on this feature. I bought it with the intention of it replacing the buggy built-in Facebook integration in JomSocial.

Albeit buggy, the built-in JomSocial FB component would post status updates to/from Facebook/JomSocial. So I could update my status in JomSocial and it would post to my wall in Facebook (and vice versa).

With the 3.1 release, we moved to the plugin based system for profile integration. This will help us to have specialized functionality for status updates and other things specific to specific 3rd party components.

Status pushing to Facebook isn't there yet, but it's now high on our featurelist of things to do. Unfortunately, it's not there yet, but we anticipate it will be with one of the 3.1 point releases or 3.2.
