Hi, im having problems with the community builder plugin, it doesn't seem to be importing the facebook data or photo at all, it just creates an empty text field in the users profile that you can type text into.
I have mapped the fields in the back end and the community builder integration and button below it are both enabled, all fields are also set to not required.
The login module is published on the front page and when the user logs in the persons profile pic appears next to the login button but thats it, it also creates a user / association to facebook account in the back end like its supposed to in the user map section.
I have also enabled both the site plugins and they seem to be working fine also.
So im a bit lost now on what it could be as it appears to be working by the fact the login button is getting the facebook username and [profile pic, but the community builder part of things is not doing a thing.

Which setting are you using for "Create New Users" in JFBConnect?

I'm not sure what could be causing this. Can you send me a link to your home page? If that doesn't help come up with a resolution, I would need access to the admin area of your site.

I also have this same problem. Users can connect their accounts to their Facebook accounts, and they can login using Facebook connect button. However, the fields that I have mapped in the backend between Facebook and Community Builder are not ever updated. Not at initial account creation and connection and also not each thim they login with Facebook connect.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Ryan,

Can you check the Community Builder Integration tab in JFBConnect and make sure it looks like it's setup correctly.

Also check the version of Community Builder you have installed. Our demo site has 1.2 RC 4. It's possible an older or newer version does things slightly different and may cause issues.

Let me know what you find. Thanks for helping us figure out the issue.

Thank you for replying so quickly to my request.

The version of Community builder that i am using is the latest stable version: 1.2.2

I've attached a screen shot of the CB integration tab. I believe that it is set up correctly. CB integration screen shot.png

i also have the plugin's enabled and "firing" in the order the install instructions instructed.

FYI: the registration works. when i login using facebook connect, the update to my FB status works. the only thing that is not working is the importing of my user data from FB.

Thank you for your help,
Ryan

That all looks correct to me. I may have to get 1.2.2 and test myself.

Does anything look like it gets setup in your CB profiles correctly?

Does anything look like it gets setup in your CB profiles correctly?

The user must enter a few things just to register (username, password, email address, state & such). Those are the only values that are filled in on the community builder profile. Nothing is synced with Facebook.

Any additional suggestions?

The Facebook information will only be synced if a user logs in by clicking the Facebook button and giving your Facebook application access to their information. At that point, they will be allowed to either log in using an existing account on your site or sign up for a new one (depending on how you have JFBConnect configured).

If a user registers through your normal Community Builder process, there is no way for JFBConnect to request access to a user's Facebook info.

Does this make sense?

Let me know if I'm misunderstanding anything.
