I'm getting the same problem... click on the F Connect button and get a white page with this...

Barret:
You're issue is likely because you are using PHP4 instead of PHP5, which is a requirement of JFBConnect. Please work with your hosting company to upgrade. The upcoming Joomla 1.6 requires PHP5 as do a lot of newer extensions, so this is highly recommended

Theartistep:
When does this happen? Is it every time you hit the login button, or under certain conditions? Also, which version are you using? That was an issue with an older version, but we haven't seen it since.

If you can also provide a URL, that will help us to debug the issue and see it ourselves.

Thanks

I am also seeing this exact error after meticulously going through the steps of the install; more than once.

Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'FacebookRestClientException' with message 'A session key is required for calling this method' in ...

/html/administrator/components/com_jfbconnect/assets/facebook-api/facebookapi_php5_restlib.php on line 2458

My server is running PHP5.
Joomla 1.5.14 (legacy)

Any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks,

Lazlo:
When I go to your page, I'm getting the cross-domain receiver error when I click the login button. Please ensure you read this message as well:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.cmsmarket.com/forum/index.php?f=38&t=102&rb_v=viewtopic">www.cmsmarket.com/forum/index.ph ... =viewtopic

When I go to your domain without the www, I'm seeing your site pop up in the log in window (no FacebookRestClientException error). The cause of this is almost always a mis-configuration of the Facebook application itself. We'd recommend going through this thread which has some advice on how to correct the issue:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.cmsmarket.com/forum/index.php?f=38&t=380&rb_v=viewtopic">www.cmsmarket.com/forum/index.ph ... =viewtopic

Thank you so much. I think I have resolved my issues by creating a redirect from non-www to www in my .htaccess...but I have some more thorough testing to do.

If you could take another look and see if it performs correctly for you now, again, we are most appreciative for your support.

Best Regards,
Lazlo

I may have spoken too soon. While I managed to resolve the error messages, I am now experiencing the "Site Opens in Pop-up After Log-In - No Navigation" issue as described in this thread:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.cmsmarket.com/forum/index.php?f=38&t=380&rb_v=viewtopic">www.cmsmarket.com/forum/index.ph ... =viewtopic

I've tried everything in this thread with no success.

I'm getting the cross-scripting error now. It seems like your domain is always redirecting to www (which is good), but the callback URL is set to the non-www version. Can you update your application with the correct callback and let us know how that goes.

By trying everything in the other thread, have you tried creating a new barebones Facebook app with just the setting from the user guide and used that API/Secret key? That always seems to solve the issue, and usually points people in the right direction of which switch they flipped in the app that they shouldn't have.

Yes, did try a new application- same results. Are you referring to my base domain? should that include the www?
