A bug with 2.1.2 of the JFBC Login is that the popup to sign in to facebook is loading the main site inside of it logged in, whereas the page you come from doesnt refresh and doesnt appear to login properly.

This is quite an irritating issue and is happening for a few people on the site including myself, but not all the time. This didn't happen with the previous version

Edit - tested properly with 2.1.1 and the problem still occurs. Would like some kind of fix for this as its useless having a broken feature on the site.

Update on this. Main times it happens is when the user is already signed into facebook and then hits the facebook sign in button on the site, which Redirects to the main site page in the popup box itself.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Almost always when this has occurred, it's been because of an issue with the creation of your Facebook Application. Can you try to, just for testing, go and create a new Facebook App. Use only minimal changes/settings that we show in our Quick Start guide, temporarily update your site to the new API/Secret key, and see if you still have the same issues.

We haven't ever heard back from people on an exact setting that's caused this, but generally it seems to fix this problem.

Hi,
I followed your instructions, and i still get the site loading into the popup window, only when i'm already logged into facebook. Any more suggestions to solve this issue?

Thanks

Can you send us your site link so we can take a look? It's also possible we may need admin access, but this is the first step.

Sorry for the delayed response but we appear to have solved this on our site

If you go to Edit your Application in Facebook, under the 'Connect' tab theres a 'Base Domain' field.

In here for example if you have <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="www.google.com">www.google.com you would just put google.com.

The problem I noticed for us was it was doing it when the site address was just simply <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://***.com">http://***.com, but never when it was http://www.***.com. This solves it!
