Hi,

How can I display the JFBCSend module as a plugin in to the content page, like in your example?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,
this could be done in two ways:
* through the general JFBC settings, and set the SEND/SHARE button to appear on every content page
* with the JFBC Tags, you could add {JFBCSend} to a certain page

let us know if that helped.

Mati

OK the tags is what I need, however, there must be a problem, because both {JFBCSend} and {JFBCLiveStream} send a message. What I want is to post on the friends' walls.

You can't just post to a friends wall. That would be widely abused for spam. You can post to your wall, and it may show up in your friends feed. The Send button will only send private messages to the user and the Live Stream is more for a discussion on your site (but can also post to the current user's wall). There's no real way to post to a friends wall though.

Hope that helps,
Alex

I don't think that posting to a friend's wall is a spam. It's a functionality that facebook allows. Since facebook has disabled the functionality to propose a page to a friend, how else can you do it?

The Send button allows you to send a page to a friend, and is what Facebook recommends if you want to share an article with a specific friend. It won't post to their wall, but they will get the notice.

There is not a way that I know of to post to a user's wall from a separate website. You can only do that through Facebook itself as they really want to protect user's walls from having unwanted posts going to them.. which then are seen by their friends.

Hope that makes sense, but if you need anything else, just let us know!

How do other applications do this? Like Castleville for example?

For sure it can be done, just have to ask for the permission..

To my knowledge, the other apps that do this aren't going into the user's Wall, their going into their Feed, which is an aggregation of activity from the user's friends and activities.

Posting into a user's feed is done automatically by Facebook when you Like content or do something else (like Comment) that Facebook thinks is relevant to that user. There is no way that I know of to post into another user's wall, so that it's public to all of their friends as well, using the Graph API. There's no permission to do this either, because the permission would have to be from the friend who's wall is getting posted into. There is no "Allow me to post in all my friends wall" permission.

Hope that helps explain,
Alex

Alex, they do post in user's wall. Take a look at this: www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003553856375&sk=wall
Look at all these users who post publicly into this users wall through Castleville. And it's not the only application that does it. This is just an example.
If you want to see the dialog they use, just subscribe to this application and play for a few minutes. It's like the dialog JFBConnect is using, however it posts on the wall.
