Leigh,
There's another extension running on that page that's including and initializing the Facebook Javascript library. You can only have one extension doing this on a page, and the other extension is actually doing it the 'old' way, that Facebook no longer recommends. This is causing a conflict and preventing JFBConnect from recognizing that a user is even connected.

The Login With Facebook button that you're using in the top right is coming from this extension. You'll need to disable whatever extension that is, and replace that button with JFBConnect's login button. You can easily put just the button there by creating a Custom HTML module and simply putting {JFBCLogin} into it.

Hope that helps, and good luck,
Alex

I'm experiencing the same issues ONLY with IE9 and I'm pretty sure i have no other (old) facebook modules installed ...
Could you take a look here
www.davidvandyck.be
same problem on www.davidvandyck.be/dichtbij
where i used the {JFBClogin} tag

don(t mind the menu, it's screwed up in IE, I'm working on it ...

Webatelier,
Something seems to be wrong with your Facebook Application configuration. When I go to the below URL, it redirects me to my profile:
www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=182089788533087

That indicates that either something is misconfigured, or that your app is in Sandbox mode. Please check out the settings and see if you notice anything wrong. I'm seeing a problem in Chrome as well, but didn't even test IE.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Hi. I have a similar problem only with IE9 (Firefox / Chrome work well). During a login page appears the following statement

"Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

etc. ......"

Error Details Web page

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0, Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0)
Timestamp: Fri, 14 Oct 2011 08:11:48 UTC

Message: Permission denied

I think that it' is a problem due to all.js facebook (documented also in Facebook Bugzilla)

Do You have provided a fix for this problem? Thank you.

I'm sorry but as Alex said my problem was due to a beginner's mistake ... the sandbox mode of the facebook app was still on,
so there was no problem for me (except the fact that i had to self refresh in IE in order to login).
Thx for reminding me of that Alex, I had totally overlooked that setting ...

I have exactly the same problem with IE.
Works perfectly with Firefox or Chrome.
I'm running the latest version.
I'm glad if you can have a look: www.aloysiusdance.com

Many thanks in advance.

Alessandro,
I just tested in IE, and see the issue. Immediately, I'm not sure of the cause, but it appears to be a conflict with something. Can you try disabling the AddThis widget, or any other social features to see if that fixes the problem? If so, we can help you to re-enable them and fix the conflict.. but first we need to narrow down the problem.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex
I've disabled the Addthis Widget and all social fetures but the problem with IE persists. I've also cleared browser cache but still no sucess.
Firefox and Chrome no problems!
Any idea?

Many thanks
Alessandro
