Hi,

In the JFBfriends module, in addition to the profile pic thumbs of the friends, there is also a text at the top that says "xyz and abc have connected to <site>". I want to delete this text.
Also, why does it show the user's name too? For example if I am logged in via facebook as Peter, in the friends module it shows the thumbnails of my friends and my (peter's) thumbnail too. Am I myself's friend?

Unfortunately, there's no way to remove the text at the top. The code is embedded in an iFrame from Facebook's site, and is not editable from our module/plugin.

The same goes with the fact that you show up as your own friend. This is Facebook's logic, and while we agree it's strange, we have no ability to control it.

Hi,

Okay. I've come to terms with that text and the me-myself's friend thing. ;-)
There was one more bug in this module of yours. The text "Use this form to describe your module" couldn't be left blank. It would come again even after leaving blank and saving. So I manually deleted the text in the module's XML file and that solved the problem.

Ahh.. that's a Joomla bug we've run into before. If you set default text for a module parameter, if you set it to blank, it assumes you want the default. We'll update this in a future release. Thanks for letting us know.

The new 3.0.0 release of the social modules fixes this issue with removing the text. Let us know if you continue to see this problem after upgrading.

Hello Support,

I am having a problem with this module when trying to incorporate it into CB user's profile page by means of inserting a module position into one of the CB tabs.
Currently I can see the module appearing, however it is somehow only displaying a very short frame height, causing the module chat popup not displaying the list of friends. It like something is cutting the frame. I have check my templates CSS and nothing should effect that module size or shape.

Also, for some reason it will not show up on front-end to unregistered users, although it is set to public and also the CB TAB.

This can be seen on my site nich-dot-co-dot-il, you need to search for a profile first and then click on the profile name to view the user's profile tabs.

I would be glad for any help on how to fix this issue and have the module display properly on the user's profile tab.

I looked at your site quickly, but unfortunately, I don't know the language, so it's not easy for me to search for a profile and navigate the site. If you can send me a link to a profile we can look further into this.

With that said, please make sure that you're currently logged into Facebook when trying to see the module. The Friends module will only show your Facebook friends who have approved the site, so if you're not logged into Facebook, the module will not display anything.

If that's your problem, there's not much we can do about it. If you are logged in, then once we get some URLs to see what's going on, we should be able to provide you more information.

HI, thanks for the quick replay,

Firstly, there are 2 flags on the top of the site, on is for English, so you can switch the language. Second, my problem is not what you describe. I can view all the modules which are working, the problem is that for some reason the Friends module is not opening the friends popup all the way, I can only see one and the scrollers are cut. Viewing the code with firebug, the module is set to a height of 75px, and it is like the overflow is hidden. I don't have anything on my CSS template that causes it.

Currently the Module is published to a user1 - position, and then I use this position to display it in the user's profile TAB.

My question is how I can change the height? All I have in the module properties is Width and Number of Lines.

I initially went off and was debugging an issue with the JFBCInvite module.. I realize now, that's probably not what you were looking at, but I'll explain anyways. When I use the English flag, the site is still set for RTL type-setting. This is confusing Facebook a lot, and causing the Invite module to be on the left side of the window, and hidden from view. If I click the Hebrew flag, things are fine. Just thought you should know.

Anyways, back to your issue. I tried to create an account on your site, but CB didn't seem to activate my user. Either Skip Activation is off in our profile plugin, or there's something preventing my user from being created. Can you look into the following issues here and see if that could be preventing my account from being enabled?

Once done, please delete my user (sourcecoast) and I'll try again.. until then, I can't see the CB profile tabs.

Currently I have Skip CB activation set to YES. Your user is registered and activated, so I am not sure why you have this problem. I had no problem loging in with facebook account.

Regarding the Langauage, yes I am aware there are few issues, however this site will mainly be in hebrew, that is why everything will mostly float to the right.

So I am not sure what should I do? Is the Skip CB option is set OK? Can you try loging in again.

Let me know what to do, If you need I can give you admin access.
