TripAdvisor.com allows users who are logged in with Facebook to see their FB friends who have also registered or liked the site. Does JFBconnect allow this?

Peter,
For the Like button, yes, we have the "Show Faces" option which will let someone who is already logged into Facebook see which of their friends have already Like'd the page.

As for the Login button, that's an extremely easy feature to add, but for some reason, it's not in JFBConnect right now. We've never had it requested before and just missed that as an option. We'll definitely be adding it to the upcoming v4.3 release (due out at the end of this month or early next), but if you need it sooner, we can easily show you a minor code change to make to to do it.

Hope that helps, and as always, we have a 30-day money back guarantee should you run into issues or not get things to work how you want.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks Alex. This sounds like what I was looking for. I can wait for the login feature. But actually I'm afraid of clashes or conflicts with (1) the login/signup process that is already on my site (see top right of goodtalktnt.com and (2) clashes with all of the other social sharing features already made available with the components on my site e.g. JReviews and JomSocial and more.

Peter,
You shouldn't have many issues with your current registration/login process. Basically, you'd need to disable JomSocial's Facebook integration and then add the tag {JFBCLogin} to the JomSocial template files or wherever you'd want the JFBConnect Login With Facebook button to display. We have guides on how to integrate with JomSocial that should make that a breeze.

As for other social features, we work very well with jReviews and JomSocial in general. We talk to their developers when issues arise and have a generally good working relationship. Should you run into issues, we should be able to help you fix them up.

If you have any other questions, just let us know!

Thanks,
Alex

Alex,
Thanks for your kind responses. I am always a bit scared of making anything that smells of 'code' changes, but i'll give it a try.

One suggestion for your sales pages: Sell the feature of logged in fb users being able to see their friends who have liked or registered on the site. This is a huge social plus as it's the equivalent of going into a bar and seeing your friends among the crowd. You are more likely to stay or go in if you see your friends inside and the same principle applies to a website. I've been looking for this functionality even before big sites like TripAdvisor started implementing it.

Will give you a shout regarding implementing JFBconnect on my site.

Thanks again.

Don't worry, the code change should be very, very simple and we'll hold you're hand the whole way through if necessary :D

Definitely like the idea of the faces on the login button. It's really one of those minor, easy to add features, that we just needed someone to poke in our face. It will be in the next release!

Thanks again for your feedback, and best of luck,
Alex

Alex,
One more thing before I pull the trigger. Right now the Register/signup process using facebook includes a check box for our Terms of Service Agreement. I need to make sure that when a user clicks the Signup button and chooses to Register using facebook that they are forced to agree to the terms of service and can read it if they want to. This is currently the case on my site (although the whole site is giving trouble at the moment) and I want to make sure that the TOS agreement is easily included also.

Lastly, do you have any coupon codes available at the moment for a discount?

Peter,
There are a few ways to add the ToS's, depending on how you're currently having the user approve them. If you'rre using JomSOcial or Community Builder, JFBConnect has an option to show the ToS on registration automatically. If you're hard-coding the check-box on the page with a link to an article, that can easily be done in JFBConnect as well, but will take a few lines of code.. again, we can help point you in the right direction on this, but would need to know more about how you're currently setting up the ToS.

As for coupons, no, we don't have any available. We have never offered coupons on our products, so you can be assured that you're getting the same great price that everyone else is getting.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Hi Alex,
Pulled the trigger and have installed all of the files except the Alpha User Points one. I get this screencast.com/t/ljeGJY4v55E4 when I try to upload it.

I'm having problems with the installation and I was hoping if you could help me.

You mentioned some guides to integration with JomSocial but I haven't seen them. More importantly I'd like to get the Signup/login working as it was before just this time using JFB connect.

Would you be willing to take a look in my admin section and sort me out? Please let me know if there is a secure way to send you the access details.

Please only post an issue once. The issue with the AUP plugin is answered on the thread below:
www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect/jf...ling-plugins/modules

As for the JomSocial guide on how to add the Login with Facebook button, please see:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/thir...ration-for-jomsocial

Hope that helps, but if you need anything else, just let us know!

Thanks,
Alex
