I am finishing up a complete overhaul of a very large website and existing JomSocial install. One of my biggest issues is the Facebook Connect. The popup window for Facebook Connect using JomSocial's plugin has window size issues among other things. It works about 75% of the time and for me that is not going to work.

I am sitting on the fence for JFBConnect. I can't afford to pay $60 if this doesn't change things. I know it has many other features to make the entire site FB friendly. At this point I really need to make sure the users can register and it works without this window size issue.

I see others have the same issue with JomSocial.

Is this going to correct that? I would hate to purchase this and I still can't get people logged into the site.

I have Joomla 2.5 and JomSocial 2.6.

Yes, we don't use a popup for registration at all because.. well... you already know.

We have 2 modes for registration:
* An automatic mode - User clicks Login with FB button and their Joomla/JomSocial account is automatically created, profile imported, and they are logged in. It's probably what you did on this site, assuming you logged in with Facebook. No forms, username is automatically created.. Easy.
* Full registration mode - User clicks button and is brought to a new page where they can login to an existing account (if they already registered through Joomla) or they can register. On the registration form, you can show extra fields from JomSocial that may not be imported as well.

It's your choice, but both definitely work. You can use (and play) with our demo site if you want to test both methods. The admin area is open to change the configuration as you wish:

Hope that helps. As always, we have a 30-day refund policy. If you aren't happy, no worries!

Best of luck,
Alex
