Topic-icon Advantages over Jomsocial with JA Social template?

I came across this product and I'm still somewhat confused. I have a site I'm working on with the JA Social template which has many plugins available for integration, and Jomsocial integration. I'm a bit of a layman here but familiar with Joomla. I just don't have a coding background. So for someone like me what is the selling point of JFBConnect versus the above listed combination of products?

JomSocial's integration is strictly for letting user's login to your site. And even that is limited in that you don't have control of what profile fields are imported from Facebook into your JomSocial site. With JFBConnect, you have full flexibility to import any fields from Facebook (Interests, political affiliations, birthday, about me, etc) in to any field you create in JomSocial.

JomSocial used to have a Facebook Friend invite feature, but that was discontinued due to changes Facebook made. We still fully support friend requests, and have complete tracking on which user sent the invite, what user received it, and even if they opened it. Demo below:

As for other integration, yup, you can get a mix of plugins to add Like buttons and Comments and stuff to your site. JFBConnect supports them all (and usually some more, like "Friends modules" and "Recommended Links", but you can find those elsewhere. Our advantages in this area are
* It's a similar configuration for all
* You can use our easy-tags to place any of them wherever you want in your site like {JFBCLike}, not just in fixed module positions
* Using just one Facebook extension ensures the Facebook Javascript library isn't loaded multiple times needlessly, slowing down your site.
* No conflicts with other Facebook widgets
* Some more, but those are the big points

Finally, we also offer Page Tab and Canvas integration support so that you can easily show your site, or parts of it, within Facebook. You can even set a different template to be used for just those views.

You can see how all this is configured in our demo site, which allows access to the admin area.

Hope that helps. There's even more functionality, but those are the big points. If you have any questions though, just let us know!

Thanks,
Alex
