Does this work with JomSocial 2.6.1 Events?

Yes! The comment box won't be added automatically to events, but it's pretty easy to add the Facebook Comment box using either the JFBCComments module or by editing the JomSocial Event Details template file and adding the comment box manually there (so it shows on all event pages).

Once added, you'll be able to get notifications whenever a new comment is posted on an event and the users will have the option to post the comment they're making to their Facebook page for more publicity. Adding the social buttons (FB Like, Twitter Share, LinkedIn Share and Google Plus) can also be done the same was as comments for each event to make publicity even easier.
