Hello,

I am preparing to purchase JFBConnect for the website that I manage. In the joomla.org extensions directory, the JFBConnect page describes your product as the following: "Total Facebook Integration Suite: Single-sign on; Open Graph; Facebook, Google, Twitter and LinkedIn social widgets; 3rd Party Integration; Facebook Page Tab & Canvas support."

However, when reading the documentation on your website, I cannot find any references on how the Twitter and LinkedIn social gadgets work within JFBConnect. Does the standard JFBConnect product support Twitter and LinkedIn features?

I know that you also sell a JLinked program that supports LinkedIn. So, my question now is, what LinkedIn and Twitter features does JFBConnection support out-of-the-box and what extra features do I get if I also purchase JLinkedIn?

Thanks for your clarification before I make this purchase. I certainly look forward to using JFBConnect!

Yes, JFBConnect supports basic Twitter, Google, and LinkedIn social buttons. You can easily add the Google+1, Twitter Share, or LinkedIn Share buttons to any article with our content plugin. There are easy selections to enabled each button in certain areas of your site (by category or article, for example). Additionally, you can use our Easy Tags, like {SCGPlusOne} to add the Google+1 button anywhere else you'd like for maximum flexibility.

The 'extra' integration does not include any login or registration functionality for the extra networks, or any other types of social widgets.. for example, the "Apply", "Company Information", and other widgets (as well as login/registration capabilities), is only in our JLinked / LinkedIn product.

Hope that makes sense. Basically, our products focus on one main social network, but try to have the absolute basics from the others so that, if you don't need the whole kitchen sink, you don't need each of our extensions.. just the main one you want to focus on.

Hi Alex,

Thanks much for your fast reply! Your explanation clears up most of my questions. I read through all of the online documentation, but could not find anywhere that lists the tags that you mention for Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, etc. Is there a page that shows all of the available tags that I can use for these social buttons?

Thanks again!

Tom,
All the tags can be shown on the configuration guide page below:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/conf...ation-guide?start=13

There's also a section within JFBConnect's admin area that lists all the available tags. Obviously, there are many more features to JFBConnect than just the tags, but hope that helps you find out a little more about them.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Thanks again for the reply and useful page link to all of the tags. I purchased JFBConnect this morning and am looking forward to setting it up!

May I ask you one more question? This is off-topic, but I am trying to follow the instructions for creating an app on Facebook so that I can connect it with JFBConnect. However, the Facebook account in-question is an "organization" account, not a "people" account. The instructions on your website state to visit "www.facebook.com/developers" when logged in with my Facebook account, then click the "+ Create new app" button. However, I cannot find this button anywhere. Please look at the attached screenshot. If I click the Settings link and then Apps on the sidebar, there is still no way to add a new app. Can this only be done for "people" Facebook accounts? How do I connect JFBConnect to my Facebook "organization" account?

Thanks again,
Tom

Hello,
we are glad you decided to purchase and we will try to help you in the best way possible.

as for setting the Facebook App, if by Organization account you mean a Facebook Page, then it is not possible to create an App. An app is meant for developers (individual person) and you must be logged as such.
once you are logged in as an individual user (i.e as yourself) you will be able to access the 'Create New App'.

let us know if that helps.
