The social streams can currently only be setup for a LinkedIn Company Page, Twitter Stream, Facebook Group or Facebook Page. The next release of JFBConnect will add Facebook personal profiles and we plan to add more stream types later this year, including LinkedIn personal pages.
As for documentation on the stream configuration itself, it's part of our Channels feature. The main page I think you're looking for would be this one though:
