Robert,
How are you doing the multi-lingual setup on your site? Are you using the built-in Joomla language switcher or something else? We do test with the built in language switcher and things should work, but if you're running into issues, please let us know you're exact configuration for the multi-lingual stuff.

Thanks,
Alex

I created two menus for eng and french then I used a language module switcher to switch between language. I have tried disable sef but that didn't work. Normal login via the login form works fine.

Sorry for the delay. I just:
* Went to your homepage
* Used the switcher in the bottom right to set my language to French
* Registered using the Facebook button on the left hand side of the main home page area
* After doing that, I was brought to:
/fr/hom.html

So, in that quick test, my language was kept at French. Can you tell me how you're testing?

Also, let me know what your New User and Returning User redirection settings are. If New User Registration is "Same Page" and "Returning User" is set to a specific menu item, that would likely explain the problem.

Let me know any more information you may have, and we'll gladly help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex, The way you tested is exactly how I get redirected back to english upon login with jfbconnect. Please take a look at the screenshot

www.screencast.com/t/CFZUDrl464C. I have purged all cache and still getting the same result

New user redirect and returning users are in the same page

Before I was registering. I just tried to login and, again, was redirected properly.

Can you check or try a few things:
* In the Joomla User Manager, make sure the user you're authenticating with doesn't have a "Front-end Language" set. It should be "Default". If a language is set, then it's proper that the user is redirected to that language.
* Can you try with different accounts and from different browsers and computers?

Narrowing down any combination that may have the issue will help us a bit. From our quick testing, we can't see the issue at all, which is a good thing. It means many of your users may not be running into the issue either.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex, you was right. This issue only happen with this user. I have tried the tips you mentioned in your last reply, setup language for that user as default in the backend but that didn't work. Any other ideas?

I'm not sure, honestly. Does it only happen with that specific user in one browser on one computer, or does it happen for that user across multiple browsers and computers?

I don't know what would be different about that user's account, but my guess is that it's a setting in Joomla (or the user's browser that's telling Joomla) the user's preferred language. Joomla is then using that setting to redirect the user appropriately.

We'll do what we can to help narrow things down, but I'm a bit clueless as to what's happening or why.

Thanks,
Alex
