Hello!
I'm using a responsive template on my joomla 3.2 website. I'm also using the comments plug in. So I need to configure my comments plugin so that it's width is 100% of it's container. How can I do that? When I write 100% in the control panel, it ignores the "%" and the box ends up being 100px.
Thanks

Unfortunately, the comment box can't be made responsive at this time. That was possible, and JFBConnect supported it, until mid-March of this year. At that time, Facebook implemented a hard-coded width on the box that could not be overridden in any way. You can see the full bug report below in which many other users are unhappy with the change as well:
developers.facebook.com/bugs/256568534516879/

The bug has been 'assigned', and we're hopeful it will be fixed soon. When it's fixed, if there's anything we need to implement in JFBConnect, we absolutely will. We liked the responsive box as well.

I hope that helps explain, even if it's not what you were looking to hear.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for your answer

I've been trying to come up with a workaround for this, but I've had no success, meaning that right now, I can't use the plugin for comments on my site, because it doesn't render properly. I have to hide the plugin in some screen sizes, and that just doesn't work for me. Do you know of any successful workaround to resize the comment plug-in?

Thanks in advance

Actually, you couldn't have had better timing! If you look at the bug report I posted above, they fixed this issue *today*. The comments widget now allows a % value, so you can simply set the width value to 100% and it should be good to go.

Please test and let us know how it works for you, but we've already tested and been very happy with the results.

I hope that helps, but if you have any questions, just let me know!

Thanks,
Alex

We're happy about the fix as well! I'm glad that helped you. Should you need anything else or have any questions, just let us know!

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks,
