Hello team source Coast

Unfortunately, I have a big problem. I use sh404SEF and JFBConnect together. Unfortunately, this leads to an error in the generated feed files. All feed files refer to a content page. I have already tried to get help with anythingdigital. After a long to and fro in the Forum were able to confirm the error. Unfortunately, the support says I contact with my problem to you.

I hope you can help!

The forum entry at anythingdigital found at:
anything-digital.com/forum/extension/sh4...-jfbconnect.html?p=4

Thank you Micha

Your home page, from the post on the sh404SEF forums (spedition-transport-umzug.com/ ) is offline, so I can't see the issue.

To summarize what I think that thread was about:
* Your feed links (/feed/rss and /feed/atom) don't work when the JFBCSystem plugin is enabled.
* When you disable the JFBCSystem plugins, those links work.

Can you explain to me what doesn't work about those links? Do you get a white page, incorrect content, a 404 or something else?

Any information you can provide about what is, or isn't, working will help us narrow things down.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,
Apologies that the site offline and my bad english was. This page is only for testing.
First of all, I can say that JFBConnect works very well and a great extension is. Unfortunately, I have discovered the error only by chance.
There are two sides to the problem once with a .com and even with the ending .de.
Currently installed on the side with the extension(.com) JFBConnect and on the page with the extension (.de) JFBConnect is not installed. Both sides are about the same, with respect to the software install and setup. I hope this simplifies the comparison.
How did I already written, there is a problem with the referencing of the feed files.
Is JFBConnect activated calls in the source code the link (<link href="/feed/rss" rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="RSS 2.0" />) on a content page.
This is a results from an incorrectly filed in sh404SEF datebase address (index.php? Option = com_content & Itemid = 101 & format = feed & lang = en & limit = 7 & type = rss & view = featured).
Because I thought that the error is caused sh404SEF I first turned me on "anythinkdigital". You have me now passes it on to you.
The bug affects all RSS files and Atom files from the content area (categories and main entries). All are wrong already in the database. I am happy to give you the access to the backend.
In the last few days have been trying to fix the fault yourself without success.
• I have all Pugin disabled and enabled.
• I put all the settings of the components sh404SEF to Joomla sh404SEF router (except content).
• I have tested it on another page and have tried to change the cache settings.
• I have also tried it with an older version of sh404SEF and JFBConnect.
Unfortunately, I can not turn it off. I suspect this is a problem between the component (sh404SEF content) and the plugin (System - JFBCSystem). Also, I noticed that there are apparently also problems (Jomsocial redirect).
I have an attachment with the images by!

Thank you for your help and have a nice weekend.

Hello Alzander,

Unfortunately, I'm waiting for an answer since May 3. I would be very interested in a solution, because I have this problem on 2 website.

Best regards Micha

I'm sorry for the delay. We have a test site setup with Joomla 3.3.0, JFBConnect v6.0.5 and sh404SEF v4.4.0.1725. When we enable SEF URLs with sh404SEF, our RSS links still work as expected. In your PDF file, in the JFBConnect side, the URL for /feed/rss isn't shown at all. Does that URL exist in sh404SEF? I see the pagination URLs, but not the base URL which is used.

We'll definitely need to get access to your site to diagnose things further. Can you Private Message me:
* Super Admin credentials for your site
* If possible, FTP access so we can edit files on the site. If the problem is in JFBConnect, we'll need to make modifications to narrow down what methods are causing the redirection.

You also mention:

Also, I noticed that there are apparently also problems (Jomsocial redirect).

What issue are you having with the JomSocial redirect plugin? Is it similar to the above or how is it related to JFBConnect?

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alzander,
I am very happy with your message. I hope it is just due to an incorrect setting of mine. It's been very crazy that it works for you without problems. Unfortunately I can not find the error. Because I still have a problem with JomSocial, now there is an entry even to this problem in JomSocial forum. There are, however, two questions. One is, however, on the same subject (plugin jomsocial-redirect).
Forum JomSocial: www.jomsocial.com/forum/modules-plugins-...sef-and-jsn-mobilize
I immediately send you the data you need as a personal message.

Thank you for your help and greetings from Berlin
Micha

Micha,
I'm a little confused. I went to your site, and logged into the admin area. The JFBCSystem plugin was already disabled. The /feed/rss link redirects to the home page. I'm not sure why that link doesn't work. However, JFBConnect is not enabled on the site. There's nothing that we're doing to interfere with your links.

In your forum post to anything-digital, you mention that when you disable the JFBCSystem plugin is disabled, the feed link works. I'm not seeing that on your site.

Can you help me understand how to test the issue further? From what I can tell, JFBConnect is not related to the problem. I wish I could tell you what is causing it, but I can't recreate this issue on a local development site and can't see how JFBConnect would be causing it on your site, since our plugin is disabled.

Please let me know how we can help.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alzander,

I thank you for your message. Unfortunately, I still could not solve the problem. I have a new installation made with only 3 components.
sh404SEF
Joomsocial
JFBConnect

You can find at: www.top-solar-info.com/

The backend data are the same. The error is still existent and can be switched off not so easy.
I think it's somewhere a little bug. There is something wrong with the redirection. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to find the error.
I have tested the page with gtmetrix.com/reports/www.top-solar-info.com/4FBNoc6l and you can see all the javascript files are loaded.
I can imagine it is any class that is used in both applications.
I have no idea
Many greetings from Berlin
Micha
P. S. I'll call you if I find a solution!

Hello Alzander,

In the last few days have further attempted to eliminate the error. I think there is no solution. I for that reason, I uninstalled sh404SEF.
I thank you sincerely for your support and wish you all the best.

Best regards Micha

I'm sorry to hear that was your only option. If there was more we could do, we definitely would have. We never could see any case where our extension was causing the links to be altered. We also don't know how sh404SEF works well enough to diagnose an issue like this. I would hope, if you try again, that you could get a better resolution with their support team.

If you need anything else from us, just let me know. We'll gladly help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex
