Hello,

I just installed the software and it's showing this error

Strict Standards: Non-static method JFile::exists() should not be called statically, assuming $this from incompatible context in /home2/suvivien/public_html/plugins/system/jfbcsystem/jfbcsystem.php on line 62.

Attaching image, thanks

I'm honestly not sure why you're seeing that. It's not an error we've had reported before, and that line of code wasn't changed in this latest release.

Can you let me know what version of Joomla you are using? Also, can you let me know if you ever upgraded the site from a previous major release of Joomla, like Joomla 1.5 or 2.5?

In the meantime, that message is simply a notice to developers (us) that a call is not 100% correct. You should be able to hide those messages, which are not errors in any way, by going to the Global Configuration area of Joomla and setting Error Reporting to "None".

I hope that helps,
Alex

Well Alex sorry for my semantics,

The current Joomla version is 3.2.2 and yes, the site was upgraded from Joomla 1.5

I already change the setting error reporting, so the message is not showing any more.

Please let me know if I need to do any further step,

Best,

We've looked through the code, and what we're doing is correct. My only guess is that something on your site is still loading the old Joomla 1.5 JFile library, which expected things a little differently. Again, it shouldn't cause any issues, but I don't think there's anything we could do to fix that problem.

Should you have any functional issues though, just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex
