Hi Alex
I changed the file, and can now reach the user map area..

You wrote this:
With JFBConnect, you can import any existing Facebook connections made in JomSocial. To do so:
* Back up your database, just in case
* Ensure the Social Profiles - JomSocial plugin is enabled
* Go to the JFBConnect -> Usermap area
* Click the "Import Connections" button.
The FB connections from JomSocial should be imported.

I dont have a "import connections" button ???

theres a button called "send request" ??? -

Please advise

Hi Alex

Could you help where to find the "Import connections" button , so I can get my FB users to work ?

Ahh.. it looks like there's an issue with the button not actually showing in the Profiles area in Joomla 3.x. If you have the Social Profiles - JomSocial plugin enabled, the "Import Connections" button is actually in the menu bar, it's just hidden.

To use it, hover your mouse over the space between the "Send Request" and "Delete" buttons. Your mouse cursor should change. Try clicking there, and you'll see a popup warning you that you are about to import connections. Click Yes there and it should start importing them for you.

Again, I'd recommend backing up your tables first, just in case, but you shouldn't run into any issues.

We'll have a fix to show the import button in the next release, but you shouldn't need it then. If you can't 'find' the button with the instructions above, I can give you the small code necessary to fix to make it appear.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex

I found the spot when hovering, so I got the profiles imported...

One last thing befor closing this as solved:

If a user wants to return to "normal" logon, is it the same procedure as with jomsocial fb........Use "forgot password" routine to reset to normal logon, or is it different with JFBC

Please advise

Glad the profiles got imported, and sorry for the hidden button thing... strange issue :)

If a user wants to return to "normal" logon, is it the same procedure as with jomsocial fb........Use "forgot password" routine to reset to normal logon, or is it different with JFBC

If a user registers using JFBConnect, you can configure JFBConnect to automatically generate them a random password. That will be emailed to them and they can use that to login.

If they didn't register with JFBConnect or they simply forgot the random password, they can use the "Forgot password" option.

In general, a JFBConnect registration should be smoother in that they don't have to use the Forgot Password option.. but they can if they want.

I hope that helps,
Alex
