JFBC Welcome Email was created by joscla
The JFBConnect is not sending a welcome e-mail, and for some reason when people sign up with Facebook the e-mail it gives me for them is something akin to: app+g7u7ssqu02.1dr4r83.afabe4b4283705731dbc2558c57157e2@proxymail.facebook.com

Any thoughts/ideas?

Facebook will return the proxyemail addresses whenever the user hasn't fully verified their account or if the user has setup their privacy restrictions to the most strict settings. In these cases, they return the proxyemail address. That address *should* relay the emails from your server to that user's actual email address. The email *must* be sent with the same domain that your application is registered to or else Facebook will think it's a spam/forgery.

The occurance of the proxemail addresses is usually less that about 1 in 500 registrations. It's uncommon. If you're seeing that for all of your users, it may be an indicator that Facebook doesn't trust your app and is not giving out the actual user's email address. If it's only happening for one specific user, try a different user.

I hope that helps explain,
Alex

Yeah its happening for all of them :\ Nobody receives their welcome e-mails, even though the e-mails are coming from the same domain name. Anybody have an idea how to FIX this, or get Facebook to trust my app?

Can you let me know a URL where I can investigate and attempt to login? Just looking at the front-end and trying to register may help uncover any configuration issues.

Also, have you run the Autotune configuration tool on your site? That will try to setup your Facebook application with the best recommended settings, and may help narrow things down. There's also the Error Check tool which can check for common mis-configurations.

Thanks,
Alex

The domain is www.oblivionent.com I've ran AutoTune, and after reading Facebook's documentation I've set it to request the email permission, still does not work.

I can set you to superuser to check it out if you want.

I just tried to register using Facebook on your site, but a Javascript error is preventing the registration from proceeding. JFBConnect requires the JQuery and Bootstrap Javascript libraries to be enabled for some features that you have enabled, but they aren't included on your page. Please enable the "Include JQuery/Bootstrap" setting in the JFBConnect Configuration area to ensure the proper libraries are included since your template is not doing so.

Once those are enabled, we can test further. For now though, we're unable to register with Facebook.

Finally, you do *not* need to request the email permission manually. JFBConnect will automatically request the email permission and any other permissions that are needed based on how you've configured JFBConnect.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks. I just registered, and I got the proxymail.facebook address as well. We register on sites *a lot*, and I've haven't seen that address in at least a year (likely much longer).

I'm not sure why you're site is fetching that email, but we'll gladly help investigate further.

First, if you want a 'quick' test, I'd recommend trying to create a new Facebook Application. See if that one has the same issue. If so, that means it's something with your domain (possible) and/or site/JFBConnect (possible) and or/ server (very unlikely) configuration.

If that doesn't work, or you don't want to try the test above, please Private Message me a set of admin credentials, and I'll see what I can do. You can PM me by clicking the mail icon under my picture to the left.

Thanks,
Alex

Alright. I tested it with a second facebook app to no avail. I've granted you Super User permissions on the account you created.
