I have a problem getting google+ to work. This is the error I'm getting: 400 - Error fetching OAuth2 access token, message: 'unauthorized_client'

I have re-created a new API Client on cloud.google.com/console/project following you're very clear and detailed instructions.
I have tried with and without URL RE-Write and SEO friendly URL's but this did not help.

I have also tried re-running Auto Tune, without any luck.

Site where the google+ button is confgured...: it-answer.com/inloggen

Thanks again for yor help.

One thing more as an update.
This is how the generated URL looks like after clicking on the Google+ button and selecting "I Accept"

The only time we've heard of that error is if the Secret Key for Google is set incorrectly in JFBConnect. Can you double and triple check that you set the proper key from the Google API console into JFBConnect?

The URL you posted for the return to your site is correct. That URL also indicates that your API Key is correct. The only reason you should be getting that error message is if the secret key is incorrect, because that's only used during the return to your site to verify that the user just authenticated.

I hope that helps and that's all it is. If not, and you still can't get things going, just let me know!

Thanks,
Alex

I don't have a good answer for you right now then. That's not an issue we've heard of or can diagnose with the information you've given.

Can you private message me admin credentials for your site? We'll gladly investigate further as to what's going wrong and do what we can to get the Google authentication working.

You can PM me by clicking the message icon under my name to the left.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

On January 28th I did send you a PM with your logon credentials to my site. Did you already have the time to have a look?

Thanks,

Fred.

Fred,
Very sorry for the delay. I got in originally, but couldn't narrow down the issue. I just had another chance and was able to find the problem. The plugin "System - Multiple Social Login" is somehow interfering with the Google+ login. I'm not sure what the conflict is, but disabling that plugin fixed the problem.

Can you tell me what that plugin does and is it critical to keep it enabled?

Finally, I'd highly recommend going into your Google Application and "Deleting" your current Client ID and setting up a new one. You posted the client and secret key above. I've removed the image already. While it's unlikely any copied those codes and would want to do bad things, having those codes publicly viewable is generally not recommended.

I hope that helps,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Thank you for this solution, and sorry for the inconvenience (since I thought this interfering plugin was already disabled)

It belongs to another module I installed prior I found your module, and is also for Social Login with Facebook, Google+ etc....
But with very poor support, and even not willng to give me a re-fund as his plugin is not working... So you could call it a simple rip off!!

Any way it does not matter that you needed to disable this plugin as it was not working any way.

As for the tip for the new secret key I will make sure that I regenerate the key, just in case... Thanks for the tip.

I'm glad we could help narrow things down for you. I hadn't seen that extension before, and it seemed like an obvious conflict. Didn't take long to narrow down, but that's what we do, so no worries that you hadn't found it first ;)

As for being a rip-off, I'd recommend letting others know that by leaving a review in the JED (if they are listed). It's the best way to warn people off of bad extensions... and of course recommend good ones. If you haven't already, please also consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks, and best of luck,
Alex
