I would like the activity of posting a video in a users jomsocial newsfeed to be posted to their face book timeline. In facebook i've maid a story that says share video. But in jfbc what object should I use? Jomsocial has group, photo album, and profile. I dont see an option for video. And what should the action be? I only see album image upload, and join group. Thanks.

I'm not sure, honestly. We'd have to look into it more. The main question is whether there is a direct link to the video page that's being posted. We've run into questions like this in the past about sharing social stream activity, and there hasn't been a good answer. When an Open Graph Action occurs, we need to tell Facebook which page to send any viewers too. That can't really be the users' profile page, since that page isn't all about the video. There would need to be a separate URL created for the 'story' which we can link to.

In previous JomSocial versions, there hasn't been a direct link available for each individual stream item. I haven't tested enough with JomSocial 3.1 to know if that's changed. Hopefully, you can check and see if there's a way to link to each individual stream item. If so, and if there's a way for JFBConnect to 'know' that that stream item is a video, or image, or whatever, we should be able to help you setup an Open Graph Action for it.

I hope that helps explain, but definitely let me know if you have any other questions or issues.

Thanks,
Alex

Could this be the same reason the photos also wont post to Facebook?
I have a action and object for photos to be shared but it keeps giving a error (Unknown path components: /studio_stone_soup:upl) in the activity log. I've attached a image of what the activity log looks like.

There was no image attached to the post.. after you upload it, you need to use the green arrow to insert it into the post.

Uploading a photo should work in the user's Album. I'm not sure if you're testing in the activity stream or not.. so I'd need a bit more information there to know what may be going wrong.

The best thing that would help narrow things down is a link to your site so we can see how things are configured on the front-end. That can tell us a lot about what could be the issue. Please feel free to post (or private message) a link to the page where you're trying to upload a photo, and we'll gladly investigate further.

Thanks,
Alex
