I have installed jbfconnect , but I have a problem with the privacy policy url field not being accepted for the facebook app configuration during autotune
Here is the url of the privacy policy - www.xblgamerhub.com/XBLG-INFO/privacy-policy
The site is offline in testing, but I have been checking this with the site live so that the link is visible.
(The privacy policy was created via your suggestion of generateprivacypolicy.com)

I can give you back end access if that helps?

Facebook can be very picky about the Privacy policy. Not only does it check that the page is available, it checks for a few other things:
* Is the page available to be loaded?
* Does the page redirect at all? The URL you specify should be the direct link to the page.
* They seem to actually be doing some 'checks' on the page itself to make sure it really is a Privacy policy and not just any random page from your site. This is the hardest thing to understand because we don't know what they're checking for. If you have a Privacy page though, please make sure there is a "Privacy Policy" title (or something similar) and some actual stipulations. Not just an empty page. I know you stated you used the link we recommend, but please verify that the text is loading properly in the link you provide.

If none of that works (which it likely won't, since I think you answered most of the questions above), please try to access the Facebook Developers Area and set your Privacy Policy URL there to see if it changes the behavior when you save. It should be do-able through Autotune, but maybe you'll have better luck in the Application area.

Thanks, and best of luck,
Alex

Hi Alex thanks I added the privacy policy url at the developer centre on facebook, and ran autotune with the site live and it seems to have done the trick.

I have another related question - I am primarily integrating the facebook login with jomsocial, and when I now click to login with the facebook button which is shown on the jomsocial frontpage I get the following sequence of events:
1 - facebook login pop up windows appears asking to enter my facebook username and password
2 - Once this has been entered I then see nothing - the website stays on the same page and I am not logged in.
3 I get an email alert from facebook informing me that I have been logged into facebook, although I havent.

When running error check with autotune - I also get the following possible conflict message (screenshot attached)
File Attachment:

Do I have to disable the System - Jomsocial Facebook Connect plugin?

Here are some details of the site:
www.xblgamerhub.com
joomla 3.2.1
jomsocial 3.1.0.1
easyblog 3.9.15155
easydiscuss 3.2.9248

I can give you admin access to the site if needed, or I can arange for it to be live if needed,

Hope you can help,
regards,
Tom.

Glad you got the privacy policy thing going.

As for registration, your site is offline, so I can't test fully. Here are the things I would check though:
* Your Facebook Application is "Online" and not in Sandbox mode. This setting can only be configured in the Facebook Apps area and not through Autotune. When offline or in Sandbox mode, only administrators of your Facebook app can login to your site.
* You still have JomSocial's Facebook integration enabled, and it's conflicting with JFBConnect. Please read over our JomSocial Social network integration guide for the best way to configure everything.

I hope that helps,
Alex

Hi Alex thanks for your help so far.
I have ensured the steps you suggest are done:
Facebook Application is "Online" and not in Sandbox mode.
JomSocial's Facebook integration is now disabled

I have also made sure that Facebook integration is definitely switched off in both easy discuss and easyblog.

I am still getting a warning when I run the jfb error check that:
"Test: Facebook Javascript library inclusion
Warn: Another Facebook extension is installed, including the Facebook Javascript library, and may conflict."

I AM able to log into jomsocial using Facebook credentials, but it appears that I can only login when I click on the Facebook button which has been integrated into the joomla login (via the jfbconnect configuration/general tab), which I have on mu main menu.
I cannot login with the Facebook buttons which appear as part of the SC login module, or which are shown on the jomsocial frontpage.
I am a bit stumped with this, and would be very grateful of your help again!

Regards,
Tom.

Hi Alex, I thought I should add this incase it helps you with my problem:
When I am logged in with fscebook credentials to jomsocial as a registered user and I attempt to use the jfbc comments module, I am able to post comments but they do not appear on my facebook actvitiy,
I have attached a screenshot too,

Best regards,

From your description alone, I'd have to guess that the proper Javascript is not being included on your pages. Please try enabling the "Include jQuery/Bootstrap" setting in JFBConnect and testing again.

If that doesn't work, we'd need to see the 'live' site to understand what the issue is. Either enable the site or send us admin credentials by Private Message so we can turn off Offline Mode temporarily.

You can PM me by clicking the mail icon under my name.

Thanks,
Alex

In your site, the Facebook Javascript library was being loaded twice. To fix the extra inclusion, I disabled the "sh404SEFcore - Social buttons plugin" plugin. The Autotune Error Checker tool should have been calling that out as an issue as well.

After I disabled it, the extra inclusion was gone, which means that Facebook should be initializing properly now. I didn't try to register though as I wanted your site online as little as possible. Please test, and if you run into issues, run the Error Check tool and let us know anything that is reported.

As for the comments not appearing, that's almost certainly because your site is offline. If Facebook can't scan the page the comment is coming from, it won't show up in the Timeline until Facebook begins to 'trust' your site. They need to see your content, and right now, all pages of your site redirect to the home page. Once you're live these types of issues should clear themselves up. If not, we can help more once it's live.

I hope that helps,
Alex
