SSL connect error

A "Name lookup timeout" is an indication of a server misconfiguration problem. It means your server is unable to resolve the IP address for graph.facebook.com, read.facebook.com, api.facebook.com or multiple others.

You'd need to contact your hosting provider to see if they can determine why those address can't resolve properly. There are some simple command line tools (nslookup, ping, etc) that can help determine what is, and isn't, working when trying to resolve an address. Generally, it could be that your PHP configuration isn't enabled for outgoing SSL connections, but it could be many other issues as well.
